Booked in for Tuesday 17th April .. will be 13000 miles, just over ..The service manager said it was "a small service" ... will it be a small total in the "final bill" box ?? I don't think so ! Keep you posted.
£150-ish
that service for me, recently...... plus engine and final drive oil changes and 1st mot, was 180 inc vat.

Be prepared to need front brake pads on top though. A few of us have found pads needed doing at 12k, and mine needs another new set at 24k.
With the benefit of hindsight at the 12k service, I would have paid a little more to get the 2008/9 GTR pads I think, my gut feel is that Kawasaki over-economised on the 2010 on pads and these wear both pads and discs faster.
Martin.
Just had my 12000 mile service and it was £120. Was told pads OK but will no doubt need changing at the front next service.
Just has my 7500 service and was advised that pads were worn and would only last another month or so. Busy looking for replacements at the moment.
Fair play to the dealer though as he said he would change the plugs at the next service together with the air filter.
7500 service plus pair PR3's £438. I thought that wasn't bad.
I did wonder about the pads so I shall mention it to him ... plus putting in a new HORN !!
Ok ... just back from the 12000 mile service ... 13000 actually but there you go ... with a set of EBC brake pads at the front end ... a total of £230.98.
Service, brake pads, oil filter, gasket drain plug, 4 litres of Silkolene Super, service consumables and waste disposal ... total labour £84 total parts £108 then VAT on top ....
What do you make of that ?

Sounds reasonable for main dealer. Bear in mind the dealer gets the parts much cheaper and then adds a margin on. How many hours did it take to do?
I don't think that sounds too bad Rusty, considering you had parts etc.,
.... I thought it was ok too ... 2 hours wait .... a quick coffee upstairs looking at kit, then over the road for a massive fry up, tea, let it all go down just back in time to see them taking it around the block for a test ride and then off home !
Ive just carried out my 12k service myself as it is basically a visual inspection. I combined it with the extra bits that need doing at the 15k service. Plus i fitted a set of front pads and changed brake fluid and coolant while i was at it. I think that £150ish for someone to just look over my bike and fit an air filter seems excessive, especially when i bet it's the dealers most junior mechanic who does the minor services. I will use the dealer network for the major services but the minor(inspection) ones i will do them myself, write in the service book and keep receipts for oils etc as proof.
but will looking at at it yourself and writing in the book not invalidate your warranty (if you have one ?)
I did my services myself from 7500 through to 20k. Wrote in the service book what I did, when I did it and what the mileage was. Didn't have any receipts and none of it was disputed when I traded the bike in.
If the bike was still under warranty though I'm pretty sure it would invalidate it.
