Title: All year biker
Post by: Kwikasfuki on March 24, 2012, 09:36:22 PM
Finally got around to taking my bike to Steve @ All year Biker. I have to say, he worked hard to clean bike and did a tremendous job. Here's some pics

Wow! that looks like a great service, i will definitly get mine done as it will be used all year in all weathers.  We use ACF50 at work on the hawks, corrosion on aircraft is a big no no, so i know this stuff works

I had Steve from all year biker come round and give my girlfrends SV and my GTR the full treatment on monday.  Have to say Steve did a brilliant job, my bike looked like it had just come out of the showroom when he had finished .

I have ridden it all week through the rubbish weather we have had, it is still nice and clean as it seems none of the crap will stick to it.  only bit that looks slightly dirty is the front wheel from the brake dust

is the whole bike covered in acf50 or just the vital components

To be honest I left my bike with him so unsure about that. I get the feeling that it was just all the metals that are treated. Paintwork was polished. Engine smoked a lot when first started which is apparently normal. Wheels were treated, but brakes obviously weren't.

I watched mine being done from start to finish....

When it got to the application of ACF50 stage he covered up the wheels with cloths, and placed a big sheet over the bike, then sprayed the ACF50 on under the sheet... you could see it coming out of the porous sheet... he  said it's that fine that without the sheet it gets blown away.

He applied under the tank and you could see it coming out near the headstock as well.

Once this was done the calipers and wheels had ACF50 applied with a cloth, along with on the clocks and any black plastics.  This included wiping everything under the seat as well... the theory is if too much is put on it attracts the crap ... hence the need if doing a top up to be careful

The bike did smoke well when started up....
