Hi Viper
No idea how many bikes, we have done this run twice in the last 3  years and just go along to enjoy the crowd and meet friends. It is marshalled and would guess around 500 bikes make the run which ends with a free cup of tea at the Together Trust at Cheadle, which is a children's disability unit. It lasts for about a couple of hours max, depending on who you bump into and chat to. I will be there at the start with my wife on our grey GTR with our son on his SV650 and possibly a mate or two. If you want to meet at Stockport Harley (which is now closed) we will be there for about 11-30.am. Stockport Harley site is on the junction of St Mary's Way and Hempshaw Lane, about a mile from junction 1 or junction 27 on the M60. Cheers Chris and Colette. Just bring an easter egg or a few quid to give to the collection.

500 hundred, omg , thats impressive, is there enough kids for a 1000 eggs and i feel sorry for the canteen making 500+ brews , wow

might make it down there, will probably hang around til the majority have pulled away , ive seen a few spills in my time with so many bikes riding in such tight formation, maybe see you there .

Apparently 500 was a bit of an exageration. More like 300 I have been told. Still its for a good cause. See you Sunday hopefully

went along today and it was good, i reckon about 400 bikes and 3 large trailers packed with eggs and towed by the harley/trike brigade. Well organised and plenty of marshalls who blocked EVERY exit ,roundabout and side road so the bikes could all ride through, we jumped all the lights where there was not a camera and headed into didsbury to francis house. Plenty of novelty costumes, easter bunny on a scooter , tigers ect.

A great day in the 18 degree sun and was actually worried the eggs would melt in the panniers .

Thanks for the post on this .

Looks like you had a great day and raised some loot for worthy causes

I often wonder just how much bikers and bike realted activities raise every year, its a statistic that is often overlooked, by some who are keen to put the biking community down

It really was a good day. I looked for you but did not see any other GTRs. I was parked in the Harley car park right outside their front door. I am in your first picture with my son looking at the red Honda Pan, right in the middle of the photo. Grey haired old git in blue denim, next to a tall dark haired lad in glasses. Where were you Viper. No GTR passed me anywhere on the run and I didn't pass any. I also looked around both venue car parks without success. Never mind, maybe next time.
Are you by any chance going to the Cosford Air Museum this Sunday.? It was brilliant last year. If so we could meet up.
Chris

i saw a grey gtr but no one was nearby, not one really for walking up to strangers and saying hello im viper .  i parked over near the magnet carpark and went out in the latter half of the riders, there was a rocket trike with us and a bunny on a scooter. as we got to francis house i didnt stay long as everyone just looked a bit lost and not sure what to do, didnt fancy waiting for them to make 800 brews. I gave in my eggs and headed off.

fantastic turn out and a great ride.

The shrewsbury thing is a bit to far , thanks anyway
