My 2008 ZX10R Reg/Rec was replaced at a year old in 2009. Have a 2011 ZX10R now...

Its rain water that kills the connection block..... If its not caught quick enough, it's a new loom... :-(

Zooks have had problems with Rec/Regs since forever.
My GS550E however didn't. I heard about the problems and pre-empted the failure by replacing it with a Honda 400 Superdream Rec/Reg. Also replaced the wiring in places as it was shockingly badly fitted.

Kawis have mostly been very reliable in this area.
