Chaps....
Just a thought really as I was chatting to another member about Rukka gear .... If you have expensive "stuff " for your bike, Jackets, trousers, Zumo sat navs, Oakley sunglasses etc as well as making sure it is insured you need to make sure that you can PROVE that you actually own it and have access to it ... for example last year a female of the species bumped into me, my Oakley sunglasses fell to the ground and as she turned around promptly trod on them and they were truly broken " OOOhhh " she said " I hope they wern't some of those expensive ones " !! They were . I claimed on my contents insurance and initially they refused point blank thinking it was a spurious claim so I sent them some holiday snaps of me wearing them, AND the receipt from the shop, then they were fine but the ins companies are clearly quite happy to fob you off unless you have the upper hand.
So, get out there and take pictures of you and your Rukka kit, or you holding your sat nav or your HD Go Pro camera ... get the idea ?? Keep the photos and reciepts all together. If you end up sliding down the road through no fault of your own you don't want to end up with kit that the ins company say was " the value of / or equal to " when you know its not ! Hope this may help one day.
Very good idea. I've plenty of photos of my bike with the Zumo and HD GoPro on so I should be ok there. I'm a Specsaver man myself ;D so that shouldn't be a problem either. Gotta admit my wife keeps receipts for absolutely everything.
