If you can't find cheaper insurance on one of those I'll be surprised.
I check all my insurances EVERY renewal now as have been ripped off too many times.

Oh so true
hi guys ,also try mcn website, i was with aunty carol with my vfr, changed to the gtr after two mths into my year, they wanted an extra £680!!!!!,which would have been £920!!!!!!,robbing batterds!!!!,thats there last,,,,
went on mcn compare,, got it for £280 with protected, road side breakdown, but,,,,,,,, dont think that these add ons are good, they are absolute bare basic,,,,recovery means- to a garage within 5mls!!!,no fooking good to me at all at 5.30pm on a friday evening with a puncture,100+mls from home.
just a bit of advise guys for you-its not all what it seems till it happens, lol
i am with lloyds bank aa cover, which is free basic,so i checked with them as to what my cover intitles me to,i have a van that is 3.5ton,alot of companys now class this as light hgv,but they will recover me.so i am covered for the van,car and my bike,i purchased the lot £109!!!
so when you look at the broader spectrum, sometimes these "freebies" are not worth a cup of cold urine!!!- oh an i forgot, this aa cover will recover/repair even if its not my car,as long has i have cover and my aa card!
currently with bennets as they were the best price last year, £201 , its up for renewal on 14th april and the meerkats are showing bennets as still the best option at £152 , wonder if my renewal letter will show the same price
I have the legal cover but dont have the breakdown cover as we have a group AA deal for all our vehicles.
it is usually cheapernon line, but sometimes its worth a call to ask a stupid question an say you have had a cheaper quote on line(make 1 up!) an usually they will bite ya hand off providing you havent got a list of expensive aftermarket kit on ya bike. heard off a mate whos a regional manager with a large company, they have a contract with a major insurance company who is soon to make a load redundant an move to another location,as a finger up to them the staff were liturelly telling customers how much they should be paying for there insurance,as the company were telling them to sell more n more policys.
they said by the time all the paper work is completed the staff will be long gone, and the company will be well pissed as to find out they have liturally given nearly all there profits away by the staff telling customers there lowest figure!!!

I'm with esure on the car, just got my renewal quote two days ago, the buggers have put it up £7.
Trouble I have is the GTR is the add ons, most companies now are restricting bolt ons to max of 5 after that they load the fook out of it. and remember that means EVERYTHING thats non standard... so on my GTR that includes, Top Box, sat nav, rear hugger and fender extender.
And on the Tuono, well i needed more spare to list 'em , although some companies will tell ya they arn't bothered. trust me, if they can use it to wiggle out of a claim they will do.
I know a gentleman who is a consultant for the Motor Insurance industry, and his job is to find ways to wiggle out of claims, for which he his handsomely paid!..... for example tiny non standard indicators may hamper you in the event of a claim as the other party will say that they were unable to see them correctly
its a scam designed to screw as much out of you as possible and pay back as little as they can.
Obviously the addition of a fender extender is going to be major factor when making a claim, in the same way that mud flaps are another insurance risk  :censored:
Just renewed insurance - ouch says card!
£560 2010 GTR and 2011 ZX10R with Carbon Fibre Wheels, Exhaust, PCV, R&G.....
CN wanted £660 after haggling..... After 6 years I've been with CN - been forced to go elsewhere...
Next year they will have to do better... :-)
Neil
Neil ... think of it as just under £2 a day and thats for 2 big bikes in Group 17 and more for the 10R with extra bits on .... but it's still a bit "ouch" when the credit card bill arrives !
Yes. True, but petrol and insurance is still cheaper than the train..... :-)
Gotta add another £74 (ish) for tax... :-( and it's still cheaper than the train..... :-)
Did I say riding a motorbike is cheaper than the train.... :-)
Neil
C.N just rung me to ask if i was renewing.... i told them to go away and get a better quote....soooo we'll see what that brings
olde coney makes a bloody good point though, no one ever asks about the extras on a car!!! :hammer:
I'm with Swinton this year. £295 fully comp and courtest bike if needed.
Just had mine in from CN. Up from £750 to £913 :(. I had some other modifications to declare so I spoke to them yesterday and I'm expecting a call some time today to tell me if they can do any better.
Every bike we ride has modifications and with the honourable exception of eBike (who only allow four bikes on each policy unfortunately) I don't know of any other on-line quoting system that allows the modifications to be declared so the quote is realistic; ringing round is such a PITA.
(Edit: I like the speed of Chrome but it doesn't seem to be very compatible with lots of things, e.g. it puts double line breaks in this forum, shows UKGSer in a size that doesn't ft on the screen and puts short lines on the IBA forum. I may have to go back to Firefox but it's just so sloooow.)

BT Yahoo works fine.. Chrome is fast but disrupts a number of on site options

Ctrl + Shift + A in Firefox to check what Add Ons etc. might be slowing it down
