Spent today installing some LED lights from BikeVis (http://www.bikevis.co.uk/)
The lights below are the Bullet (http://www.bikevis.com/motorcycle-led-running-lights.html)and LED Cree (http://www.bikevis.com/motorcycle-cree-led-running-lights.html).
Tomorrow I'll be installing the bullets at the rear as well.

I'm a bit undecided about them Asif.. I can see (no pun intended) that they do make a difference to your visibility and also in improving light source for night-time riding.
But I have to say that they can be very dazzling to oncoming traffic
You say that you spent the day fitting them and I assume that it wasn't a straightforward bolt on job
I installed Xenon bulbs to my bike but haven't tried them at night, yet, but must say that they are very effective during daylight
I spose that the jury is out for me :undecided:
Well, strictly speaking wasn't the whole day. More like the afternoon and that was more to do with ripping out the old lights and routing the new ones in a tidy fashion.
I do agree with you though. You can be lit up like a xmas tree and they won't see you. But my view is to be more visible.
Here's the daylight view

There's also a dimmer switch just in case
I had a proper look at these at night time. I think Martin mentioned in another post that LED lights need to have a dimmer. These lights are too bright at night, so a dimmer is essential.
Okie dokie.... I did wonder about the brightness, when I watched the Bike Vis clip...a dimmer makes sense :agree:
Tell you what though. Filtering with these is like moses parting the red sea!
well that's a result.... maybe folk don't want the paintwork of their cars scorched :mfr_lol:
I see an mot fail!
The side lights need to be the same colour as the main beam.

All wired to switches, so will be off for MOT
so, how do these foreign eff off huge trucks with lights allover the cabs (including a few I have seen, with blue lights all the way around) get away with it..........?

They don't need a UK MOT now, or do they? - Doh :stupid:

I got mine from Hyperlite in the US, very bright, they draw only 0.2 amps and it is wired to a switch, i make them flash when I filter through traffic and believe me, the cars move sideways !! Except when a woman is at the wheel !!

Yes, I had the Hyperlites as well. Mine kept on blowing, even with a 1A inline fuse. I took them off after one of them started smoking and replaced with these. So far so good.
Must add, the Hyperlites customer service was excellent.
Any chance of some close up pictures, I'm interested in installing them on my bike and would be interested in how you have mounted them.

Which set of LED lights? The bullets or the bigger Cree ones?
The bullets I mounted under the wing mirrors. The bullets have a sticky pad on the underside as well as the wiring. What they expect you to do is drill a hole, feed the wire through and then stick the bullet. I didn't fancy drilling, so I used some 3m tape to build up over the wire and stuck down with that.
The Cree LEDs I mounted to the R&G crash protectors. I've seen some people mount these at wing mirror level. I wouldn't do that as they are :censored: bright.
I'll get some pics taken later.
Have looked at both sets of lights on the bike-vis site, still a bit undecided on which ones.
Like you, do not want to drill into the faring. I also have the RG crash bars fitted so these seem the ideal place for the Cree lights.

I'll take pics of mine so you can see what I've done. Unfortunately I couldn't route the cables though the same hole as the protectors so I just passed it through the fins.
As promised, some pics of the mounting.

:mfr_lol: it needs more than a shampoo. Tomorrow it gets the all year biker treatment
I could do with some all year biker tlc; I am laid up with a lurgi which started during the night. Fever, sore throat, ear ache general all over aches. :sweatdrop:
And yet..... I have the strength to balance the lap top on my chest and read posts here
Of course, on reflection, I was fine until I signed up here!!! :undecided:........ :sleep1:
hope you got the emegency services on stand-by in case its man flu!!!!!! :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:
Ah! Mr Kwarr, I fear that your prediction is oh so insightful; we could be talking about manflue!
My symptoms are now sufficiently severe as to irritate my "carer". At least Lottie dog can be relied upon: she is curled up beside me.
And yes of course, it being Friday, I ought to reserve a place at A&E for later; best to do it before it kicks off....Friday night that is.
Thanks for your concern
