we all love our bikes, "h'o  and I'm no exception to that rule. infact I can't imagine ever being without a bike! but perish the thought  if it was a choice between the car or bike which would get the boot. I know which my wife would choose  suppose if I'm honest I would be :undecided: at first. but the car is a necessity for me, the bikes are a luxury. so with much :sad:ness I would plum for the car to stay  just courious to what the rest of us would choose!
It will be a cold day in hell before my garage has no bike in it ...
I think the car is always more practical than a bike but I would miss the bike if it had to go. If I had to make a choice though, unfortunately the bike would be on its way out.

but you can bet my wife knows!! all the shopping, taking the grandson out, her expensive "hair do" would be a defo :nono: and quite possible :death: for me. may get of lightly with a expensive divorce if I'm lucky. My motto is agree with them because "it's cheaper to keep em" :mfr_lol:
My bike is a toy or hobby. If funds were tight which would I choose:
1. Sell the car.
2. Sell the GTR.
3. Sell both and get cheaper car and bike.
4. Sell the car, use the GTR or the wife's car.
5. Sell the wife and her car.
Ouch my head!
Bike, don't own a car :biker3:
Mrs has a car but it's hers and I use it only for supermarket shopping and occasional school runs (we usually cycle).
Its not a question of bike OR car for me...more a case of Bike AND car
I couldn't do without either
I answered that question already - I don't own a car.
If you ever see my car the the answer will be obvious it a 1998 rover 420 Deisel ......Bike wins :biker3:
I would sell the bike,...... but only because I have another bike.
If I had to choose between bike ONLY or car ONLY then the choice would be BIKE ONLY!
I didn't pass my car test until 1996. Been riding bikes since 1977.
I can't imagine life without a bike, even if it's just a beat up old 125.
:biker3: :biker3: :biker3: :biker3: :biker3:
Bike 90% of the year.
My car is now 8 years old with 200k+ miles. I will drive this car into the ground probably.
I have to have a car for work so that answers the question, however i do enjoy owning and driving nice cars . My wife uses our nice car and i have an old nice car for work.
We get out on the bike as much as possible at least once a week and nothing can compare to this, cant imagine my life without a bike and when im old or disabled id get a decent trike

oh so you dont want pics of a well used 98 rover 420 then !!!!! fine i can take a message :2guns:
Those were the days......
God, I'm not 40 yet! But talk of XR4i's, Mexico's, Mk1, Mk2, RS2000's, Vauxhall Viva droop snoot's.
"Back in the summer of '63 (not quite), we're, the best days of our lives".
It all takes me back to school days. I love it, oh and the XR4i. (You can keep he Rover).
Nostalgia moment over....
Neil
There's just something special about cars from that era...or maybe its me...either way I love 'em.
I still remember my first car. A Datsun 120 which I bought for 90 quid.
Then I purchased a Ford cortina. Fond memories of those cars.
Never got to a ford granada as it was too much for a penniless student to afford at the time. Mind you 4 star was about 40p for a litre
Mr Viper ticked the box with " can't imagine life without a bike " .... simple.
I NEED one or the other for commuting, but car commuting is a major PITA!! Oh, 'cept when its really bloody cold. Missus has a car, but rarely uses it - I could get away without a car, which I would if one had to go.
