Yeah I know it sounds like a cue for a song....ya know "regrets, I've had a few, but then again" dee daah dee dah
But I was thinking as an alternative to GTR posts, of which there are many - and some even good ones :mfr_lol: ..that I would start a thread which has nowt to do with GTRs and ask :-
What do YOU regret NOT doing.....I'll get the ball rolling......
Not going to see Queen with Freddie Mercury live when I could/should have
Not going up in an English Electric Lightning when I was 15 when my Dad was in the RAF. I'd been given the nod and all systems were go and then I bricked it.
Not travelling round the world backpacking before I got married as I'd intended to do.
Been less of a geek and more active as kid
Missing Prince's last UK tour
Buying a house a decade ago
Joining the Royal Hong Kong Police for a three year tour. Bastard Women!

Saw them live on the Saturday night at Wembley on the magic tour, best gig I ever saw.
Regrets, selling a mint XJ6 with low miles because I fancied a change.
Alan
Tracy, Helen, Tamarra, Lucy, Jenny, Tina, Linda....yup should played 'Hozental Aerobics' when i had the chance lol
A couple that I'll admit too... oh... but before that - like like Big Al - I was also at Wembley for the Magic tour - unbelievable - as a gig probably only (just) bettered by live aid...just. Actually - bit of a coincidence this post, cos off to see a Queen tribute at the St. Albans arena Sunday night.
So, not getting to see The Smiths, not going to visit Canada in the 80's when I had friends there and trip (exc flights) wd have been free!!
And one biggie, - when I was married, not keeping my money in my bloody account!! hmmmmrpphh
Not going on to be a Veterinary surgeon, as Winston said Barsteward Women.
I too would have loved to see Queen in concert, but the best one i went to was ZZ Top at Donnington park especially when the helicopter rose from the back of the stage hovered for a few seconds then began to rise up then cleared the stage with their car suspended underneath it then flew over the crowd, we went crazy, this day and age H&S would not allow it.
Oh .... well if we are going onto 'the best gig i ever saw'.....Ultravox, no, The Sensational Alex Harvey Band, no no ELO - Wembley - Out of the Blue when the lid of the spaceship lifted off and they were inside...
Saw Queen with Freddie four times and the best was the Majic tour at Wembly 1986.
Regret giving up Motorcycles for 18 years.............. all those wonderful late 80's and 90's Bikes I missed out on, but.................. I have got a GPZ900 in the garage, in bits and not very happy at the mo, but I may just get to ride one of my dream bikes yet!
This thread wasn't conceived to be all about Queen, although they are/were a great band even with Paul Rodgers as front man, there is no substitute for Freddie, and I've seen loads of great bands over the years..I saw Paul Weller at Blackpool last year and he was excellent.
I deeply regret selling my Bridgestone and the TZ 250....the Bridgestone in particular was something else....BUT I mainly regret never actually riding it.. YES, you heard me correctly......I never rode it........  what a pillock I am, the guy who bought it apparently 'put it on the road'.
I did ride the TZ250, but it was just too small for my lardy arse, :mfr_lol:..... bloody quick though.....oh yessssssss
Speaking of regrets, one of them is not seeing Whitney Houston in concert.
Woke up to find she's dead.
RIP Whitney
Not spending enough time with my boys when they were small.
don't think I've got any regrets really  allways done what I've wanted to do "within reason" of course, may I've one regret at the end of the year thou, if I don't get to tour the french and swiz alps on my gtr
I remember that I was approached by a guy in the early 1980s... he put a business proposition to me which went something like
" I'm in with a company that is going to market and sell mobile phones in the U.K, do you fancy getting involved ?...let me know when you've thought about it "
I thought about it and at the time and came to the conclusion that when someone bought a phone they wouldn't need another
So I said " nah it's not really for me"..what a dozy pillock I was
"Here Here" for the comment on Whitney. What a waste. RIP.
The richest person (in monetary wealth) I know made his money in mobile phones in the 80s. He'd buy a phone, go to the M4 corridor, sell it to some Yuppie, and repeat. Over time, he built a small team, negotiated a percentage of the contracts and by the time he retired I think his fortune was around £50 million.
He had an absolutely fantastic Rolls Royce. Last I heard he was investing in property in Greece so the current financial situation must have hit him.

That is the reason you'll never make it rich. :nono:
Greece is at the moment being raped and pillaged by the fat cats. :gunsmilie:
'Investing' in Greece means taking part in the pillaging by buying tangible assets like real estate at rock bottom prices. :single fuck:

Yes, but this was in 2005/2006. At the boom
I regret not spending more time with both my Grandfathers.
I regret not taking a year off after school. I might have completed University if I had.
I regret buying a CB750F2. The worlds DULLEST bike.
I have seen Queen, Deep Purple (Mk2), Led Zeppelin just a couple of months before John Bonham died, AD/DC with Bon Scott, and many many others. No regrets on the music front.
Best concert ever was Tangerine Dream.
I was a bit wrecked and the music and lasers had me in close orbit around our Super-massive Galactic Black Hole.

Doesn't matter if you don't have to sell.
And since nobody pays property taxes in Greece anyway...

Regret not buying a mint Laverda Mirage in 1990 when it was offered me for a £1,000 and I said we couldn't afford it cos we had a baby.
Then going back to look at it and the guy offered me his mint Montjuic for £750, couldn't afford it cos we had a baby.
Best gig, Pink Floyd at Old Trafford, or maybe, Alex Harvey, The Who and Outlaws at Charlton Football Club late 70s., or was it Hawkwind at the Palace Manchester 1974 or Uriah Heep, Manchester Free Trade Hall, or Chuck Berry at Buxton Festival....
Je ne regret rien
Tangerine dream....what was you on....!
I regret throwing away my black plastic refuse-sacks, which, when filled with all our holiday gear, fitted snugly into my panniers. Did I mention i've replaced them ?
