Jumped started my car last night and since doing so the radio is totally dead. Will not switch on, no sign of life at all. Replaced 7.5 amp fuse behind glove box but still not working.
Its a 2005 1.8 Mondeo with 6000CD standard fit Ford CD/ radio.
Any ideas before I go diving in?
Thanks
Hi, slide radio out, check for 12v on red lead. if ok there is a mini blade fuse on the rear of the radio, check that.If there is no feed there check fuses above glove box. radio code will have to be re-entered.

:agree: +1.... the code may be logged in the owners manual or perhaps on an info card somewhere
If none of the above works let us know and I'll speak to my brother in law who works, lives and breathes Fords!
Thank you all.
Not got time to look at it this week as we are off to Bournemouth tomorrow. Guess I will have to listen to the wife all the way from Stockport LOL

Re=arrange these words..... we deep you in are if shit meet. My husband's Mondeo does have a boot, which is handy for transporting bodies of Kawasaki riders from the murder site to the dumping ground. Hi from Colette, his better half.
Never mind her, she used to ride a Suzuki BLoop. Ouch my head!

Colette :ohplease: please forgive me my little scorpion!!!!!! erm I mean my little petal from heaven, my comment was most unkind, and if there is anything I can do to make it right I gladly will, seing as your car radio is broken, If you promise not to grab me by the throat or accost me in any other manner I could join you on your trip to Bournemouth and sing to you both as we make our merry way down the motorway, that would be nice dont you think? Also what about a game of I spy with my little eye as we wait for the AA recovery wagon to arrive!!!!!!!!!!!You did say it was a Ford didn't you Chris
Perhaps after removal, the HG small inner bag could be utilised for transportation to the repair shop :innocent:
Surely if the radio isn't working just buy another Mondeo ... it has to be cheaper
