Title: Kawaski Owner Club, worth it?
Post by: kwarrgtr on January 26, 2012, 11:37:08 AM
Just browsing the kwaka web site (i am soooo busy now) - and I see they are saying the owners club is 're-launched' (dunno how long the msg has been there) ? Is membership worth it? Anyone a member, reccomend or otherwise?

I have to say the answer from me is "No" ... stay here, this is SO much better than the K site with info and banter all day every day  ;D
Seriously I took my renewal letter to the K stand at the NEC bike show thinking it was purely an Admin update and he charged me £25 for my troubles ! I get a standard letter from K UK and some glossy E mails and that is about it .. I won't be doing that again. >:(

Its a no from me too, for the initial joining fee I have managed to get no benefits. I think I will save my tenner for a couple of pints in the Cotswolds at the end of June ;)

Mr Rusty Are the constabulary going to spare you time so close to that event thing that's going on in London?
I will have had a good sup of the ale on Friday before you get there, I'll remember to leave a pint or two in the barrel for you  ;)

I'll be at Excel on Friday the 3rd. Will be riding in as it's a straight run down the A13 for me.
Look for me in the crowds. I'll be with a Canadian friend (GTR1000 & DL650) who is as tall as me but MUCH thinner.
I'm hoping there will be some discounts to be had on helmets as I need a new one.

As for the KOC, no idea as I never joined.

I am not going to bother renewing my membership - waste of time.

BTW the relaunch message refers to 12 months ago when they did relaunch it

I have enjoyed my K Club membership, but I go to a lot of BSB and WSB rounds and their hospitality and ticket packages are great. I just renewed and got a very nice hat and scarf too.

Like most of these things if you use it and take advantage of the offers it's worth it.

Couldn't agree more, I joined last year got myself a rather spiffing Kawasaki racing team umbrella as a joining gift, then saved a few sqid when I bought my top box, and also got 15 sqid knocked off a jacket that I bought at the Riders club stand at the N E C. Will admit the forum is no where near up to the standard here, but this forum unlike the Riders club is bike specific. :)

I agree much better on here. Well done to the webmaster and administrator and all who use the site. Great Forum.
