Brilliant, the roads and scenery are stunning, nicely edited too, I've only ever visited that part of the world on four wheels :-[ and that was a good few years ago.....(mental note to self get to Scotland on two wheels...soon )
Did you use a hero Go Pro camera, cos the results are exceptional ?
Mr Dmcfadyen very nice indeed next time you go, don't forget to let me know ;) last july myself and few mates coverd just under 1,000 miles around northwales, tenby, ilfracombe tintagel, bude, landsend and torquay. three nights four days, first night tenby, 2nd night ilfracombe, 3rd night torquay, can't wait to do it all again. did post some pics under "few pics of our recent cornwall trip" under this topic, also have a look at my french and swiz alps trip pics but was on my zzr :) under "a few more alps pics" also under this topic.
Hi, the video was taken by my mate on an x170 camera by drift innovation. He sticks it to his lid with velcro and there is a remote control that goes round the hand grip. We went on this run just before I bought the GTR, my FJR was great but the GTR beats it on almost everything, we are just planning the next wee jaunt to Ullapool this April. My mate put another video on You tube, you can find it by typing in Durness to Ullapool
Cheers, Donald
Great trip and video, did that myself last year and loved it. ;D
Did the first part of that trip twice myself and loved it.
I've never seen the bike park at Green Welly empty, though. ;D
Last time went to Inverness and then to the John o' Groats via Ullapool and back past Loch Ness and Fort William.
Unfortunately we didn't get around to do the Applecross road and Skye looks bril too.
I'll try to do that this spring on one of the long weekends.

Thanks Donald, I just checked the X170 on Amazon and it looks like a really good camera
I bought a Go Pro a couple of years ago with a view to using it on the bike , and in fact I have tried it although I don't find it easy to attach due to its bulk, the idea of attaching it to my helmet (C3) LOL....doesn't appeal to me.
I must say though that the Go Pro does give good results.
thanks again for the film clip
Did this one 18 month ago, great run but we had not so good weather, try and go to Malaig, the road to get there is awasome, the jacobite steam train ( harry potter train) runs from there to Fort William. If you get the chance try and get to the glenfinnan viaduct and watch the train go over it, it really is a sight to see.
thats a really nice trip and a smashing vid, never been to that part of the world, looks like I've been missing out.
I better get there soon before Alex Salmon re-builds hadrians wall and adds a moat just to be really sure....? :) :)
LOL .. if he gets his way then there WILL be a new wall ... get up there whilst you can !! Nice bit of video ... lovely scenery ;D Thanks for posting that for us to enjoy.
Must agree with everyones comments, fantastic part of the world to ride a motorbike. The only thing lacking is a bit more sunshine. ;D
