Well here on the forum about 21 and a half hours ago.
Are you lot smoking something?!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm confused. ???
Does anyone have an adult reply to a simple question and not form a CLIQUE like most other forums, is this one going the same way???, i hope not!!!, this is the kind of banter that puts people off joining or meeting up, i am not usually this negative, i do have a good sense of humour, i thought this was a genuine question there are people on this forum that have good knowledge of these matters relating to Kawasaki. I am sure other members would also like to know the same. All i require is a simple answer to a simple question, is that too much to ask. Already a member is confused ( 100 milesaway no offence intended ).
there is always someone confoosed on here ;D... may i suggest (no offence intended ) that you post a more 'complete' question in your topic. that way it prevents the more 'easily amused' of us, from being ....er ....easily amused :P
glad it wasn't just me who had no idea what the thread meant ;)
What is the question here?
The new zzr 1400 will have a 1440cc engine. I think he wants to know the availability.
I think he is ass(uming) that because there is a 1440 ZZR that there will be a 1440 GTR, but is was fun messing with him!!!

I would guess next year, all the 2012 GTR's have probably been built now and it would make no sense to have 2 different engines with so many common parts / spares.
1441cc to be precise! they will start hitting the dealers in febuary. some information on the spec's and the new 2012 zzr1400 demolishing the new model hayabusa if interested! www.seastarsuperbikes.co.uk/zx142006detail.html www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NFGZLTwe8E price will be around the £11,000 mark which is a lot of bike for the money :) have allready tested the water with the wife. she said, have got two hopes of getting the new model 2012 zzr1400 "bob hope and no hope" :'( she did say if I get rid of my zzr1400 and the gtr1400 I could by all means have one! "me thinks" it's nice, but not that nice ;)
For the mantally challenged of you who did not understand the question, and need a more complete explanation!!! where have you been for the last few months , do you not READ the bike press, yes i am assuming there will be a 1440 at some stage, anyone want to denigh it ????, conman as i said i needed an adult reply, not a childish one with petty abreviations, must make you a big man on the forum.
get a sense of humour, I amused myself and I am sure a few others. As someone said you put out a n ambiguous comment that deserved ridicule

Ah NOW I get it, sorry i have been a bit slow (I'm 63 me ya know) :(.Yes lovely bike but I have been through that fastest missile on the planet faze, so now I'm in comfort mode and lets face it the GTR is not really slow at going fast is it? ;D
Who cares if the ZZR is faster than the Busa on a drag strip?
The GTR is more than fast enough for all I want a bike for.
Could have a bit more low down torque like the 1250 Bandit, though.
I'm obviously very easy to please cause I'm perfectly happy with my GTR as it is and it's current power & speed capabilities.

Could not agree more Mecki the Bandit 1250 motor is a true motorcycling classic. I enjoyed most of what the Bandit did, but I could not get comfy on it. if I had a 300 mile day on it I was crippled when I got home :'(, so it had to go. Like you I love the GTR it fulfills all my present needs. ;D
guy's guy's guy's! I'm not compairing the 2012 zzr1400 to the gtr1400 or any other bike for that matter! or suggesting you trade in the gtr for the zzr1400! also have not ridden the newer model 1250 bandit, but I'm sure it's a excellent capable bike. but it's also unfair to compare the bandit to the zzr1400 due to the 1250 bandit being "well" out of the zzr1400 class ;D so would not even think that one! remember I also have the gtr1400 as well, so I'm also aware it's a very capable allrounder. I was simple supplying information that I and "Kwikasfuki" thought "zedmeister" was looking for and assuming it was, thought this information would be of interest. Mr mecki why do you allways go on the offensive! take a chill pill ;) you may not care if the 2012 zzr1400 is faster than a busa on the strip. but someone who has got one or thinking of getting one "may do" remember we all have our own tastes and like to think our individual bike choices are the best in it's class. I happen to think the new 2012 zzr1400 is lot of bike for the money. and find it amazing they have made the zzr1400 even faster than it is allready! and believe me, the df8 model it replaces which is what I have. is "one dam fast arm-wrenching, arm-lengthening missile" it also happens to be a excellent allrounder. which I'm 100% sure anyone who will own either model will tell you, it also dose everytihnk great "straite from the grate" now that's called compairing or suggesting it's a better bike than the next! which it is of course :). in it's class, and what it was designed for!!
What DOES amaze me about the ZZR is how cheap they are when only a few months old ..... I know like the GTR too but its huge bike for not huge money .. if you get what I mean ! :)

it's not that amazing when you think about it ;) manufacturers need to be competitive. it starts with the new price, some people would say £11,000 for the zzr1400 or in the case of the gtr1400 £12,500 or for any motorbike is expensive. but there not looking at the bigger picture. take the new model zzr1400 or new model gtr1400. the technology that's in theses bikes now, is top notcht stuff. most rider's use there bike's as a second mode of transport for their enjoyment. if they were priced higher they most likely would not sell. hence" know used ones on the market. for example the 2012 zzr1400 is approx £11,000. the dealer registers and demo's it or some one buys and then decides it not for them. the bike now as no v.a.t and also as one owner. minimum mileage, let's say 1,000 mile's. v.a.t at 20% on £11,000 is £2,200 then say less £500 for the mileage and £500 for the second owner. assuming the bike is still immaculate, this bike will most likely sell for around £7,800. as you said "its huge bike for not huge money. as you allready know, all new vehicles loose at least a few grand as soon as they leave the showroom. I bought my gtr1400 new because I plan on keeping the bike for many years to come. I know it's history from the very first mile, infact it was from 6 tenths of a mile :) and I will maintain it my-self. so by the time I sell, I will of had my monies worth out of it ;)
Who cares? Hayabusa still has the best motor for HighPerformance S-Touring build... ever!

well that's wrong for a start! have got the zzr1400 2008, my mate as the hayabusa 2008. my zzr1400 is quicker right through the gearbox. ok I admit there's sod all in it, we have had them on a strip a few time's now. the best he's ever been is approx foot behind me ;D both bike's will do 0 to 60 in under 3 seconds, both bike's are capable of the 1/4 mile in under 10 seconds. both are capable of 185mp.h plus! both have approx 200 b.h.p. the zzr1400 dry weight is 224 kg the hayabusa is 220 kg. As far as touring is concerned. we coverd over 3,200 miles around france and italy. we have both ridden either bike and found each other's as comfortable as the other! although I did find the hayabusa put more weight on my wrists than my zzr1400 my mate also thought the zzr1400 riding position is more comfortable over long distance riding. as far as the handeling is concearned we both used the french and swiz alps to the max :) and both handel as good as each other. theses 2 bike's are with out a dought! are the very best in their class. handle as good as each other and are as quick as each another. we both agreed the zzr1400 is slightly quicker and it did produce more power on the dyno. we both agreed the zzr1400 has the better brakes and long distance riding position. we could not agree on the handleing on the twisties, we both thought our own bikes handled better than the other, but thats most likely because where use to our own bikes. in my opinion it's dam hard to seperate them. but suzuki is going to need come up with somethink very special to match the 2012 model zzr1400. or the hayabusa is going the way of the "dodo" :) ;D ;)
don't take my word for it ;) check theses clips out!

Oh my lord .....
Surely it is not strength or how fast you can get from A to B. It depends on how the engine and features on the bike in interaction works. And in that respect, there is * NO * ZZR14 who just may measure up slightly compared to the Hayabusa. This remains the world's best sport touring bike. Which probably is the reason that more people are buying Hayabusa than ZZR1400.
I have owned both bikes - and ZZR14 can not compare with Hayabusa, when used as a sports touring bike - or if you need fast around the Nürburgring. Drag Race says nothing about how a bike is .... you'll come just from A to B.
Just my 2 cents ... from the real world;-)

maybe he thought life was to good to be cut short for a few moments of glory :) I remember now. have seen this clip before! mate sent it to me. anyone can ride like that in a striate line, if they have a death wish! myself and my mate where taking everthing into consideration when compairing theses 2 bike's which included acceleration, topend, handeling, brakes, riding position. e.t.c. both myself and my mate who as owned his 2008 model hayabusa from new, agree the zzr1400 is the better allrounder and is a tad quicker right through the gear box. anyway I'm not just talking about speed. let's be honest! theses 2 bikes are that quick we don't need to use all the power available in normal riding conditions anyway. when we did test the full power available it was not on a public road. but on a drag strip under controlled conditions. "unlike like the idiot in the clip" :o

I beg to differ ;) I'm not just comparing theses 2 bikes in a drag race! still think the zzr1400 is the better all rounder ;D suppose we will need to agree to disagree :)
Ridden both,Owned a Busa for 4 months and I hated it, Busa is great if you're short of leg and don't carry pillions. I'm afraid I'm with 2kwaks on this one ;D

Really? I must tell Lyn that as she obviously doesn't know. Admittedly she hasn't ridden that far in a day on one, I think 650 miles'ish was about the most.
(I do qualify for the 'short legs' bit though)

They are a lovely looking bike but I've only ridden a ZZR for about 50 miles so don't have enough experience of them to comment. I do remember it being a stretch to the bars.
There are few ZZRs doing Top Speed events, they're mostly Hayabusa, but Richie does very well on his:

have enjoyed this discussion :) however I'm sure there's one thing we can agree on! that this discussion as been and allways will be strangled to death, with the same conclusion which is :-\ think of it another way. if theses 2 bike's were not as good as each other there would be nothing to discuss to great length ;) so why did I go for the zzr1400, well thats because have mostly allways had kawasaki, and it all started 1978 with a KH250. the fact the zzr1400 slightly comes on top is a bonus thou ;) :) ;D

that pueky light colour green gtr is diabolical. but do like the darker green gtr1400 that's 8) "however" I do like the ninja green. had the 1998 zx6r g2 in my younger days and to prove it here is a pic of it, but the geniune kawasaki ninja green is a different shade like on my zx6r g2 :) even fitted green braided hoses on it :)
