Title: Beowulf
Post by: lamin on November 24, 2011, 07:56:56 PM
I know, plenty said about their products, but, i really need to get this off my chest. Birmingham Tuesday, ordered matt black stainless round silencer and radiator cover, delivered 9am Wed, fitted both in about 1/2 hour, and went for a ride -
My God, the difference, difficult to explain. The weight of the original, wot's it made of, and why?  Bike now sounds like a 1400 Kawasaki, got soul and certainly arouses your thingies, and i'll swear its quicker, 3rd gear to a ton about 2 seconds. Looks so much better with top box and panniers off. Beauty in the eye of and all that. xx

Still have the standard can on mine, I like it, the GTR deserves to be quiet and smooth.

Title: After market exhaust cans

I'm happy with my Vance & Hines. Not loud from where I'm sitting  :) Just try picking up (and looking at...) a standard exhaust  :( Cat still in place which must muffle sound a bit still.

I have to admit it sounds good.
I just don't like the look of that holding bracket.
Just makes it look out of place and fitted on the cheap.
You know, the attached with duct tape sort of look.

Here's another pic with my m8 (who's got a ramp) fitting it

Who supplies Vance and Hines in the Uk? I think that's one of the best looking system I've seen on a GTR Expensive?

I would be interested if Santa could bring me one as well.

I can't find any mention anywhere on whether the CSOne is EU legal or not.
I have a 2 Bros Titanium bought from the USA and although it's not got the E or BS mark, the identical model sold here now has the E mark. So, it's legal w.r.t. noise level but the bike will fail an MOT without that mark.
More Power Racing are in the USA and ship from the USA (hence price in $).
You will get stung for import duty and VAT so figure on adding £90 to the price paid in $.
You'll be lucky to get it for less than £450 so a LOT more expensive than the Beowulf.

I paid £313 + £60 tax  :) 1.57 was the rate at the beginning of Feb. Only problem is end is aluminium & needs polishing, I'm trying ACF50  :)
