Finally got around to doing the front Hyperlites install. Very easy to do, except for the fact the running lights positive and negative didn't work.
Here's where I decided to install them

Here are the running light wiring that I originally identified but didn't seem to provide power to the switch

So I decided to install to the accessory under the left hand fairing. Mine is different from standard as I have a load of farkles on mine. Standard bikes have a black and black/yellow bullet connector accessory wire.

And this is how they look

With reminds me to do the fence and concrete the garden rather than spend money on accessories.
Will do the brake lights next week
NB, that looks great. If anyone says they didnt see you now they need their eyes testing. ;D
Oh and by the way yes, that plank behind the wheelie bin loooks like it's come adrift!! :)
We have a massive garden with a small metal shed for the bike (with reinforced doors etc). Planning on getting it all concreted this coming year and getting an L shaped garage built.
I could have mounted the Hyperlites under the LED lights but thought under the mirrors was better as it gives more visibility and lets the bike impose itself. We'll see how good it is for filtering
These are definitely working as the traffic moves away when filtering. Obviously there are still morons who aren't paying attention!
NB, I mounted mine at same location but used a rubber base to make them perfectly horizontal, it was a bitch to do as you can see the mirror angle is beveled sideways and down. But it works great. Do you have the modulating ones or just steady. I use the modulating switch when filtering through, it works great.
Frenchbiker, I bought the wrong ones. They are switched, but just on/off. I have written to Hyperlites asking them how much extra would it be for the modulator and three position switch. As you can see on my bike, I have blue LEDs. A flashing white light with blue LEDs might not go down well with the police!
I also forgot to get the license plate bracket so need to order that as well.
Don't ask - I was having a blonde moment when I placed the order
Have you thought about HID for the main lights? In comparrison to the rest of the lighting they look weak.
I had blue LED too, but switched to silver, so now with my Xenon low beam light, HID and Hyperwhite, cars cannot say I am not visible !
Which HID kit did you purchase frenchbiker? Do you have a picture of how your bike lights up from the front?
I have the 6K HID, I ll post a picture soon, when it stops raining as I do not have one from the front...
Now I have the modulating version at the front. Can't wait to use them ;D
Was going to do the rear as well today, but it was cold outside and as I'm suffering from a cold didn't think it a good idea ...
The modulating version of the Hyperlites is on. When filtering its almost like Moses parting the Red Sea! I've also found its brilliant for driving when dark on urban roads. Cars really notice the presence of the bike.
The rear will go on in the next few weeks. I've ordered a smaller number plate that will fit the mounting bracket.
