Here's some pics of where I mounted the Stebel Nautilus horn. Under the right fairing is a good spot for mounting. The only problem is the sound is muffled as the location isn't ideal. I may move it this summer.
Are they air horns? If so do you have any issues with them come MOT time?
Yes, its an air horn and I don't think it will be an issue at MOT time.
The Stebel died on me last week so I replaced it with the FIAAM Highway blaster low and high tone horn. Can't say I'm too impressed with them to be honest
Looks like the FIAMM is about to die already
The mounting of the stebel looks good. However, the horn will be be muted as fairings are in the way. It would have been better to split the stebel into the cyclinder and the horn via tube. I'll be having the same setup, only with two of the buggers mounted, one either side, with the horn in a TBC place.
Where did you buy the FIAMMs from?
My friend shipped them from the states
The problem was that the fiamms were mounted in such a way that any rain would collate in them. I've now mounted Hootez with the forks and acting as protection.
How do the Hootez compare to the Stebel and Fiaams? At a tenner always worth a punt I've thought

Just as loud and well worth it for ten pounds.
Where did you mount the Hooterz?

In the stock location.
I have the Stebel Nautilus mounted under the right side of the fairing, like you did, but i have no issue with the sound beign obstructed. it is loud as hell, but you have to have a good relay and a good ground. Also the Stebel draws 18 amp so a pretty powerful in-line fuse is needed for at least 20 amp.
just used these pics to install my stebel nautilus horn.
thanks
just as a guide to anyone else thinking of the nautilus, the original horn wiring can be redirected backwards and put straight onto a relay near to the horn. all very easy and neat.
