Port Carlisle coast road 29/01/2025.....bright sunlight spoiled the picture quality somewhat      

I've seen some reference to a ZZR 1500, however I'm not totally sure it will ever happen or that its factual

Anyone else ?

I have just found some old pictures of past events which I can share

On my way to meet the others in the Lake District for the ride  out 17 July 2010 ...it was wet

We made it to Middleton - in Teasdale, the weather had improved a little


 

Arrived at Hawes for another brew  still the same meeting July 2010

the current silence on here is positively deafening.

So for starters I'll tell you that I have an appointment with an Osteopathic consultant tomorrow, the plan is to get a new hip to replace the knackered one that I'm currently dragging around with me

It's been really bloody painful for months and months, so fingers crossed for a painless biking future      

Enjoyed a lovely ride out yesterday to The Nook Cafe at Slaggyford for a meet with my old pal Geoff (100 miles away on here) ..I'm on the left in the picture which will enlarge if you 'click' it

The weather was great food excellent and company superb, all in spectacular scenery.. what's not to like  

which route planner software do you use / recommend

I have Garmin Navigator V1 and only tour in the U.K

met up with Lonewolf & 2 kwacks today at Devils Bridge Kirkby Lonsdale, weather was excellent and the craic was even better ..

I have just received an e-mail update request from EBay asking for my date of birth and confirmation of my bank account details, I'm not sure if I should smell a rat

Has anyone else received such a request recently ? 

I don't think it will be made available in the U.K ....

Has anyone taken a ride out (for essentials of course) yet ?

The weather here has been horrible with iced over roads for the last 3+ weeks and now heavy rain has caused considerable damage to the already badly potholed roads, with some potholes concealed beneath large flooded areas which frankly are very, very bad, even in my car, so it would be very risky on a bike, apart from which it is still very cold

Has sadly passed away today 

A truly wonderful and  inspirational  gentleman  who will be very much missed

R.I.P Tom and thank you
