Does anyone have any handlebar risers for sale, that will fit my 57 plate GTR. Or know where i can find some?
As i posted earlier, i have a set for a 2008+, that do not fit my bike.
So i have for sale or p/ex a set of risers, if anyone is interested.
Hi Blackflash, I have fitted "Genmar bar risers" to my A9f. They come in two sizes: K-405 which give a rise of 38mm. & come back 22mm. and K405-B which give a rise of 51mm.& come back 32mm. They cost £94.99p so are not cheap. On the plus side, they fit well and look good and also improve rider comfort. The only mod I had to make was to drill and tap a 6mm. hole in one of the risers (the other one was already drilled and tapped). these are to clamp the brake and clutch hydraulic lines. Go on E-bay & type kawasaki gtr 1400 and they are on the last page, or look under sportouring.  Regards  Glenn.

1400GTR Discussion / Re: Warning light & 'FI'
May 02, 2011, 10:20:42 AM
Just had a look at the owners manual regarding the "F1" problem. If you look at page 47 you will see that if the warning message comes on or flashes, then there could be a problem with the digital fuel injection system. Looks like it could be something to do with the fuel injection electrical control unit. The manual recommends you have the system checked out by an authorized Kawasaki dealer. Hope this info is of use.

N.B. Is your friend local and do you think he might let me have a look at it. Is it on a Gtr1400?

Thanks for the advice, I'm going to give the cycling shorts a try.
Boomer: I looked on "Day long" web site and really liked the look of one particular seat but I think it will have to wait a while until 'er indoors says yes. They are rather expensive, are they not? Quite like the look of the "Corbin" seat also. Did N.B. not have one of these? Would you reccommend one?
I've sent off for some handlebar risers today. They lift the bars by 50mm and bring them back by 32mm. It doesn't sound a lot, but should make a difference. I'm told they will slot in without any wires and hydraulic pipes needing alteration.........I'll keep you informed.

Have had optimate plugged into the bike constantly whilst in the garage for the last 13 years. Have had absolutely no problems at all and would reccommend this product to everyone.  Bike starts first time, every time. Superb piece of kit!

Hello to everyone. Been a member of the forum for about a month now and thought it was about time I introduced myself. My name is Glenn, I'm 54 years young and have just bought myself an A9f GTR 1400. Been biking on and off since I was 16 and have numerous bikes over the years, the last one being a Yamaha XJR 1200SP. Hence the name.......1 Kwack, 1 Yam. I thought I had researched the GTR very well before I bought it, but didn't come across this forum until afterwards. I have read lots of your articles, most of which are informative and interesting.
My one complaint about the bike is the sore backside after not many miles. I have read about the gel seat, the Corbin seat and a few others but can someone honestly recommend a good, comfortable seat.
A quick fix I carried out a few years ago was to fit handlebar risers which, at that time, seemed to give a more upright and comfortable riding position. Has anyone tried this on the GTR1400 and if so, what was the result? Hope someone has the answer!

Yes, it was me.....had just come back from a blast over the "Isle of skye" road from Holmfirth to Greenfield. It is one of the best local roads consisting of eleven "camera free" miles of long fast straights and some very quick twisty bits on the descent into Greenfield. Sorry I didn,t see you
