Thanks for the update - I'm halfway through a course of steroids at the moment and life is feeling beetter, I managed a short run out on the Z1000 yesterday so It's highly probable that I'll be there.

At the moment I'm still minded to attend subject to being in control of some current health issues, I'll see how I progress over this weekend with view to what will probably be a last minute decision.

My intent would be to catch up with you at the NMA at 12:00 and then take a steady walk round and grab a coffee and have a catch-up if that works for you.

I'll make my way home mid-afternoon, an overnight stay is not really viable so close to home.

Pete, Nigel and I are planning on ditching the bike gear at our Premier Inn less than 2 miles away and then heading to the NMA on the bikes but in more practical walking clothes. Hopefully we will be at the NMA between 12:30 to 1300hrs. Feel free to give me a call or text if you make it to the event and then we can find each other hopefully.

I think Bluetooth technology is so advanced these days that the notion of a hardwired system seems unnecessary. I used to have autocom on my GTR but when you consider some Bluetooth communication systems can not only pair with multiple other units of a different brand, on a different bike but that they also work over a mile apart (in ideal conditions) this has to be the way forward.

I have booked a slot at the NA for midday on the 2nd, there is no charge for visitors attending on m/cycles, it seems only car drivers get penalised, (such a shame). Once arrived you can stay as long as you wish although they do close at 5pm. 

The Premier Inn is only 10 minutes away. 

I have rung the Staffordshire Regiment Museum, no pre-booking required there although there is a £6 admission fee. 

If you are considering attending, please let us know and then we'll look out for you.

It's looking less likely that I'll be able to join you all  ...many months of health issues mean that riding my bike is still not likely for me at the moment....additionally I have to attend hospital at some stage (I don't know exactly when) for back surgery.

I hope...no REALLY hope,  that I will be able to enjoy better health following the surgery..

I'll keep you updated. 

Roger, no problems, I know you're itching to get out on the bike asap and would attend if you could.

As you know I was not over-excited, but it's getting closer now and so far I have not had a better offer.

Pete, yes it's definitely happening. I'm sorry to hear that you've not had a better offer, there's still time of course for a fair maiden from Sweden or elsewhere to seduce you but please feel free to join us if that doesn't happen.

Did anyone attend the Squires Easter egg run today ending at NY500 on the outskirts of Pickering. I saw three GTR's there, one was an 07 plate with 80k miles on the clock. It seems they go on and on.  

They are expensive to run, be sure to connect it to a nearby lamppost to save yourself a few quid 

Glad there was no damage, I don't suppose anyone caught it on camera did they.

Better to be safe than sorry though, it certainly isn't worth jeopardising the healing process just for the sake of rushing things.

At least you managed to get out on the bike, I'm suffering with Man Flu, not covid I've done the tests. Hopefully I'll be bike fit again by the weekend. Sounds like you had a great bimble out, personally I quite like Bala Lake but each to their own of course.

It would be great to meet up again with all of you, unfortunately from where I live it is a sh1t ride, there is no pleasant way of getting between Stourbridge and Alrewas 

I'll keep an eye on the situation nearer the date, as I say it would be nice to meet up but I'm not sure if it is worth getting wet on a motorway hop or crawl through Birmingham if the weather is set against us.

I've pre-booked the Sun and requested somewhere between 20 & 23 degrees.
