Hi all,currently own 2009 gtr1400,I suspect issue with water pump,historic coolant crystallised on pump housing,cost new to replace approx £242,however there are several used ones on various websites but for 2009 zzr1400s,I'm looking at pics and appear to be same pump,part nos are gtr 49044-0012,zzr1400 is 49044-0011,are they the same pump? Thankyou.

Sorry I can't help with your specific problem (I'm more the type that rides the things rather than take a spanner to them). Boomer is always very good with technical questions but I'm not sure how often he visits the form - maybe worth dropping him a PM?

There are a lot of common parts between the GTR and ZZR but a difference in part numbers is slightly concerning...

Chances are the ZZR & GTR water pumps are identical, but I can't confirm that as I've never even seen the water pump on my 1400.
