Top Box

Hi all.
I'm sorry if this has been asked a thousand times, but I'm struggling to find a top box that fits the standard Kawasaki rack that came with my bike.
Or can anybody point me in the direction of a box/ rack combination that doesn't cost a fortune?
I'm just totally confused.

A universal adapter plate can be purchased from GIVI for about £35.00 that way you can safely install a number of different top boxes

I really don't know.
I'm after something that fits the Kawasaki rack. Or a good rack and box combo.
I'm totally lost looking online. Prices seem to go between £40 and £400

The monokey fitting has 2 lugs that sit up at the back .
The monolock has a block with slots in on the back of the box are ether 2 blocks sticking out or the monokey two like keyhole slots the lugs on the plate slide into then lock at the front.
Any type specific box will fit the plate depending on what you have my bike 2014 and my 2009 came with a Kawasaki monokey fitting top box not sure about other models

The OEM rack is plastic and too flimsy to attach a box to.
You will need a metal rack to attach the box to.
I made my own rack using ally plate and fitted the Givi Monokey mounting kit for my Maxia 4 box.
There is a Givi rack for £90 and a couple of others available.

It will depend on what you have as a "standard" rack.

Attached are some pictures of my 2016 model, which I purchased as a "Grand Tourer" so it came complete with all hard luggage.

If this looks like the rack you have fitted to your bike I think that the top box you need is a Givi VN47:

The the box that came with my bike looks like a badged up and colour coordinated version of that.

The little rack that is attached to the lid of mine was an accessory I purchased separately. I believe you can also get an LED brake / tail light kit if you fancy the Blackpool look and can be bothered to wire it!
