i noticed today when i applied the front brake lever, it pulsated, would that be due to warped disc's, if that's the case would you be comfortable in fitting let's say armstrong disc's as opposed to the OEM at silly prices, it may be time to replace them after 33,000 mile's of use.

It could be down to warped discs, have you checked the discs, I take it they haven't picked up any grease or other contaminants from the road?

As for alternative replacement discs, you don't need to use OEM ones, there are Chinese alternatives on Ebay which I understand from Asif work just fine.

Before splashing out on new discs, have you made sure that the disc bobbins are clean and free

Iv'e attached a video clip showing how its done in case you haven't heard of this

Apologies if you have already done this, otherwise it may be worth giving it a go

I replaced mine with Arashi discs bought through Aliexpress.  No issues with them after I fitted them

i turned the bobbin's with a nut & bolt, applying brake cleaner, with a socket wrench, they turned easily, there didn't seem to be alot of brake dust running in through the brake cleaner, yet to take the bike out to see if there's any improvement.

Good luck, it may provide some improvement, if not then there's nothing lost
