Thanks for your efforts again Steve. Even an "infomal" event takes a degree of organising

My expectation is that I will ride on all three days as long as the weather is not too foul, any more than four inches of snow and I'm staying under the duvet.

Please include me in your calculations for the evening meal at the Tyndrum Inn, it was handy, reasonably priced and what I had was good quality. At least I'm assured of one meal a day although if I have lunch at the fish and chip shop in Mallaig again this year I may skip the fish course on the evening.

It was a fair reminder about the driving standards up there. Generally I have found it not much worse than anywhere else and the natives are fine, but as you say I have encountered a lot of foriegn drivers in hire cars and it only takes a slip of their concentration... don't let it put anyone off though, it is not a suicide mission to ride up there but take your caution up a notch.

Right folks, I have booked a table at the Tyndrum Inn which will seat up to 8 people for Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday evening. I have requested a time of 18:30 each evening which will give us time to get back to the accommodation after a ride during the day, showered etc and tarted up to hit the wild streets of Tyndrum.

Covid restrictions permitting we can eat inside, but failing that we will be seated outside. I'm sure if it's a nice evening and we'd prefer to eat outside they will accommodate that request.

I hope this is okay with everyone.

Well done Steve, and thank you

Due to extreme laziness I have just cancelled my booking for the Muthu Ben Doran hotel

And booked 4 nights at the Tyndrum Inn instead.

See you there.

There is at least 1 room available at the Muthu Ben Doran now.

Lonewolf

We could have carried you from the Mutha Ben Doran to the Tyndrum Inn if needed, they are that close to each other.  :mfr_lol:

Rusty

Nice one Steve ... look forward to meeting everyone

Don't be alarmed but apparently it has been snowing in Scotland and not too far from where we are staying!

Make sure your bike is fitted with snow tyres!!

I've just had a confirmation email from the Ben More Lodge.

We are writing to confirm the details of your booking with us.

We expect the guidance regarding restrictions for food and drink at the time of your stay to be as follows, although this may change. We expect to be able to serve food and drinks, including alcohol inside and outside at our normal restaurant times, though the time allowed at the tables may be restricted. We will be serving food all day with the evening menu starting at 5pm and the last table booking at 8pm.

We are able to take dinner reservations inside and out. Please let us know your preferred time and we will check the availability.

We expect to be able to accept a maximum group size of 6 people from 3 households indoors and 8 people from 8 households outdoors.

We will let you know any updates as the guidance is released nearer the time
