Yes Glassy, ride up together sounds great.
Fair enough, I guess I shouldn't be surprised at this time of the year. They've probably had a rush of online bookings since young Nicola advertised the Scottish exit strategy from the restrictions.

Quote from: Tynesidebob on March 20, 2021, 08:15:13 PMJust booked the Muthu Ben Doran as I am determined to have some kind of holiday this year.
Hopefully I will see some of you up there.

I'm in the same place - are you there for 4 nights?

If so I'll certainly bump into you, lets hope we don't start some sort of fracas over the last rasher of bacon at breakfast (assuming such thing is available).

The hotel is just the other side of the fence from the lodges where some others are staying so we are all pretty close together.

Pross if you manage to get work into line and want some company on the ride up, let me know.

pross

I certainly will 👍
The first year which was cancelled I had booked a B&B in the Lake District for the day before to break up the ride up 👍 not sure what to do yet still awaiting reply when I check it's still pending 🤬🤬

Yes, 4 nights.
It's also just through the fence from the "Real Food Cafe" which does real breakfasts for half the price of the hotel's continental breakfast.

The real food cafe was open last year when we went, but as you'd expect, it was closed for sit down meals. The option was you ordered from a takeaway hatch at the front of the building and ate outside or in your car. The menu was limited though but still adequate. I think we ate there, Thursday and Friday and then went to the Tyndrum Inn for a hearty evening meal, Saturday and Sunday. Alternatively there is the shop at the Green Wellie, either way we've never lost a participant through starvation or malnutrition yet on a bike meet.  :mfr_lol:

Tynesidebob

That's good.
Without food I could starve to death in just 5 or 6 months.

On a more serious note today when checking duties they have agreed to my holidays for our Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 meet 👏👏👏.
So as long as covid doesn't 🤬 I will be there 👌

Is it worth doing a bit of a summary of who is attending*, who is still a possibility and where everyone has managed to get a bed?

Just curious about numbers...

Also do we want to pencil in a couple of optional rides out, or will we make things up as we go along? Some people may want to do thier own thing of course and the weather at the time will have a bearing.

This is getting close enough to be real now, really looking forward to it

*subject to everything opening up as expected

I sent Asif a list of potential attendees a few days ago from just reviewing this thread, however for ease of reference I'll update the thread with the likely numbers and additional info later when I get a moment.
