Hi All just brought a Grey 2014 ZG GTR1400- its had a minor front damage
Wondering if anyone has the following parts
Mirror bracket?? that the aluminium bracket that goes between the 2 mirrors across the front yolks, but behind the headlight
Upper console infill on the left hand side
Accessory box on the left in the upper console

I am also looking to fit a lowering kit- seen some dog bones- I am 5.11 so might find the seat high a bit high??? any information re these kits most welcome

I could also do with a repair manual- as I am about to strip out the front parts to expose and replace the damaged items??

Thanks for your help
Looking forward to having a ride out-

Welcome Adriana  :185: :185:
I have the manual but mine is for the 2008 model so won't help with yours as the 2010 and later are different.
Someone on here should have the 2010- manual. As for the parts, you'll probably have more luck with eBay.
Good luck

Welcome. I too have the pre 2010 service manual. It was a free download but can't remember where from. Google pdf service manual for Concours 14 and GTR1400 and they're available.

Welcome indeed !     Can't help you with any bits I'm afraid but I went from GTR to GS ... a mirror image to your good self. I am sure you will love the GTR .. ultra smooth and QUICK !

So you went from GTR to GS!!!! Why?? Now i loved my GS but I am hoping the GTR will be nicer to ride, less clunky on the gearbox - dont need more power as the GS was quick enough for my old bones 66!!!! My only concern is that the GTR might be a bit tall in the seat my GS had the lowered suspension option for was good in the seat for me- I am 5.11 so also looking into the various lowering options available

Also read a lot about the injection being a bit harsh- to much on -off seems some are getting it re-mapped to make it smoother, but I guess for me after a GS flat twin the GTR will feel real smooth

Thanks Adrian

I also went from a GTR to a GSA, I'm not sure how old your GS was but I've had three GSA's now and the gearbox has been improved on all of them as the years progressed. I currently have a GSA 1250, the gearbox is much smoother than it was on my K1600's but I would say comparable with my last GTR.

If its any help, I'm approaching 60 and am 5'8". I have short legs and felt uneasy stopping etc. I looked into suspension lowering but went for having some foam removed from the seat by an upholsterer (also a biker).

Worked a treat, feel much happier now and didn't compromise the side stand length or getting it onto the centre stand.

If you have long legs (31" or more) i don't believe you'll have a problem
