TRIGGERHAPPY

Hi,got a -08 GTR that I bought new for a few weeks ago.The bike is a really good bike, but there is two things that troubles me.
1.On steady trottle the engine runs uneven worst between 2000-3000 rpm. This is on flat road, even worse on slight downhill.
If I give more trottle it get's ok and if I close the trottle it get's ok. The idle is also a little bit uneven.
Have spoken to the dealer but they say they are like this due to noise and emission demands.
Are going to stop by the dealer on my holiday trip, but some input from you GTR drivers are welcome

2.Hear a rattling noise from the dashboard area when im driving.Have tried to push and pull and squeeze the plastic panels, screen and
the instrument cluster. Can't find the spot.
If I rev the bike on stand still it does not appear

Anybody got any ideas?

Hmm, can't remember my 08 doing that. Have you checked the basics such as the air filter?
As for the rattling, I had a similar problem. I thought it was the dash, when it was a missing bolt off the front mudguard.

If you do want to get behind the dash, remove the windshield, remove the cover by removing the pin locks, and that will give access to the rear of the dash. There are some bolts there that can be tightened. I would remove and reseat the dash personally.

Have removed the screen, upper fairing parts and the plastic cover over the mechanism for the adjustable sceen. And the instrument
cluster.Have re tightend all nuts and bols i could find.Have tried to fit double side bonding tape,(Not shure what you call this tape.)
on the rubber grommets that fixes the cluster. Have also checked all the bolts i can find in the front of the bike.
Shall put on some farkles later this week, will check further then.

As for the engine trouble,it has only 1300 miles on the clock. So I don't think the air filter is the problem.
The mileage are good and the power are just great.
Have tightend the header nuts and checked the o2 sensors torque.
Will check the gap on the spark plugs, there are some car engines that are sensetive to this.
