For anyone who likes Suzukis, have a look at todays image and let me know what you think.  :ohplease:

I like it, very moody and certainly bike focused

I must have missed the offer of a free photo shoot. bllks.

Anyhow, if we ever get on an annual meet up I would be interested in having a nice print of mine.

We've got one more trip booked for September to Collumpton for 5 days, so might be able to meet up for a chat on the way down.

Mick.

Lol, this is an old thread. I found that planning organised photo shoots with bikers was a dead loss and nobody seemed interested so I called it a day and started to photograph dogs instead.

Nitty Gritty

Hi Steve, I must admit to not reading the entire list of older posts. So don't know if this is something you've already considered or it's been suggested already - Has the truck photo market been put forward as an example to you. From what I understand, and I've no personnel insight, guys stand on motorway bridges etc.. taking photos of HGV's passing under motorway bridges. Drivers can search for their registration numbers on internet and any photos taken come up in the search. I've no idea how this is technically achieved. A price is then paid to the company to receive the image. I assume this could translate into a notoriously popular biking area, where a consistance presence, could develope into an income once you've established the market. Once you've established the market you'll be swamped, as with the HGV market, with competitors. The same with the drone house photo market, for a while I had a number of types knock on my front door with a framed photo of my property. To be fair I should have bought one but never did. They stopped coming in the end. The frames were good quality and they were doing a great job, I was just looking for the catch. If you enjoy photography, do what you get pleasure from. So if you don't make money, you've enjoyed your pastime.  As an aside, a friend of mine, now long retired, made various coloured resin balls in a mould (mostly marble cosmos type) and attached them to various pieces of machined and cleaned up drift wood and sold them for silly money at arts and crafts shows. He never worked out the costs of time spent making and the attending of craft sales etc.. it was a hobby, which he loved doing, and he thought he made good money. This isn't supposed to be negative, just my two cents, if I had all the answers I'd be far richer than I am.

Yes I remember the arial shots of houses which were popular 20 yrs ago or so, the in laws have one of their place. These days though it would be so much easier, no need to charter a plane etc, just send the drone up and you're sorted. I haven't tried any still shots yet with the drone but it can shoot RAW and has a 48mp camera which is pretty high spec so the photos should be ok. Roof inspections, gutter inspections etc, there are no limits other than the regs imposed by the CAA.
