With all the recent rain and the "kit" post i got my thinking cap on(its a small ::). We all buy waterproof this and breathable that but the weak link in all our kit is the joint from one piece of kit to another. Over the last few days i've tried gloves inside and over my jacket to try and find the best method. My logic being that Gloves over allows water to run down my arm into the gloves, whereas jacket over gloves the water gets pushed up into the jacket by airflow. Either way hands get a bit damp. I think gloves inside the jacket works best but what do you think. Let the debate begin.

Gloves in for me, cuffs securely fastened over the top.

With the GTR it is gloves in - I find that water runs down the jacket sleeves and having the gloves in stops the water dripping inside the gloves.

Always pull jacket cuff over gloves.

Water will ALWAYS run into gloves if cuffs are inside.

Chances of much water entering through jacket cuff is minimal.
