Sanity Ride.

I went to Whitby and Goathland on Bank Holiday Monday. Just finishing the video off before uploading it to Youtube.

Whitby, the home of fish and chips, boats, seagulls, the famous Abbey and beautiful roads. Oh, I almost forgot Goathland on the outskirts of Whitby, the filming place of Heartbeat some years back with Greengrass and that chap from Soldier, Soldier.

All in all a good day out, 170 miles, top temperature 25 degrees, no idiots on the road, no Police seen, everyone appeared to be keeping themselves to themselves on the whole. A very enjoyable ride.

With two mates took the GTR on a run today. Joined the Antrim coast road at Larne going north. Stayed on it until Bushmills, home of the oldest whiskey distillery in the World. Then into Portrush where were rode the North West 200 course as far as Portstewart. Retraced our route to just north of Ballycastle then across to Ballymoney past the Joey Dunlop memorial and back via Kilrea and Ballymena.
180 or so miles of head-clearing bliss.

Sorry your commitments stopped you joining us O.C.  Maybe next time. PS Hope you were successful getting your pussy groomed.
