I've notice the 1400 is sometimes very sensitive to getting back on the throttle, quite snatchy, is it mine or "they all do that"?

There is a way to reset your throttle turn the ignition on then roll back the throttle a few times off then full on then turn on the bike it should be smoother worked for me  can’t recall the number of times you do it . search on here someone posted it

The throttle position sensor reset only works on BMWs, not on our bikes.
The only way I've found for smoothing out the off-on throttle jerkiness is with a SiSF flash of the ECU.

Even after that it still has a little snatchiness, but quite tolerable.
It's a side effect of fuel injection as they can't meter tiny amounts of fuel.

I installed a throttle tamer G2 to smooth out the throttle response on my 08.  It seemed to work for me.

Here's a thread discussion on our side concerning that.

Some time after that installation I had the SISF flash of the ECU which also tames the throttle response.
