Like the cat licking its own bottom says,  it's all a matter of taste. Seriously,  if you like it,  why care what anyone else thinks.

Health to enjoy it.
vary true.

Talk about eye of the beholder, sorry Robbie but that lots fugly to me, I do like the orange though.
It certainly is but as I have been told before not all ugly things are a bad ride  :punk:

I was looking for a lighter bike to extend my riding life but wanted all the bells and whistles of a premium product.
Been thinking along these lines for a couple of years now and was held back by the lack of shaft drive choice within my criteria.   So.............drop shaft drive from the must have list and a whole new world opens up...........
This thought process has been ongoing for over 30 months at the time.
Roll on February this year and I pop into a forma life customer who has a KTM franchise
They had a 2019 1290 SD GT in the workshop being PDI'd which was nice but then I was introduced to a very orange 2018my 1290 SD GT in the showroom.  Sat on it and noticed the lack of body mass and heard the immortal phase "We'll do you a deal you can't refuse on that bike. It's 2018my so has to go"
So they did and I now have a "Tango" in my life.    What's it like ????..............Well.......imagine yourself watching a David Attenborough documentary subject life on The Africa Plains.........the screen showing a Springbok bouncing across the plain with a big cat trying its hardest to convert Bouncing Springbok into protein intake.   The bike is Springbok light to ride and willing.
More torque than a GTR more bhp than a K16 but less than two thirds the weight with its panniers and top box on.
I would love to show you a photo but my screen refuses to upload attachments.
On the subject of pannier size.  My wife has loaded the liner bags and has given the thumbs up for long weeks away
PS PRD road test was with a fully dressed bike and he returned with a big smile on his face. Just putting the record straight guys

Quote from: PRD on September 05, 2019, 08:26:46 AMPanniers look rather small.
Quote from: Lonewolf on September 05, 2019, 08:40:19 AMLooks can be deceiving. Are they the same size as Charlie's?
Quote from: PRD on September 05, 2019, 12:28:46 PMI do not know I have not seen them.
Quote from: Lonewolf on September 05, 2019, 05:16:00 PMI heard you had had a test ride.
Quote from: PRD on September 05, 2019, 06:09:47 PMBut no panniers on it when I rode it. Also recently rode BMW 1250gs and RS!
Quote from: PRD on September 05, 2019, 09:28:00 PMJust recovered. To say  I was disappointed is an understatement!!

A photo of Charlies bike, personally I've never been drawn towards KTM, but I have to confess to thinking this is one awesome looking  :censored:  beast!
