The same applies to the air in any tyres which BMW fit regardless of whether it is a car or bike tyre. They have to be inflated with air taken from the Himalayan Alps and only from an atmospheric value of between 20k to 30k feet otherwise they cannot guarantee that the tyres will stay inflated, if you mix the special BMW air with standard free air dispensed from a machine at your local garage often used by peasants and mere mortals in particular Morrisons it will invalidate immediately the entire warranty on the BMW bike/car not just anything to do with the wheels.
