Anyone on here under a multi-bike policy and who are you getting a good deal with?

The letter from Carole Nash dropped through on Friday and I have put off looking at it until just now, I was already annoyed by how much it had gone up before I had even opened up the envelope.

It turns out I have been rather prejudiced, it's rolled in £90 cheaper than last year

I wonder if I should still shop around though, I gave it a try last year and wasted a couple of evenings filling in on-line forms only to find out that they won't quote you after all and you have to ring them for more than one bike on a policy.

So, who is in the multi-bike market?

Lloyd

I have a mult bike with bikesure ,now i had a quote for the gtr brand new bike 160 quid thought that ok then to put my 18 year old but highly modied zx12r on to it 500 quid ,12 only does 1000 miles per year and i rang round couldn't get any cheaper ,54 years old 20 plus years nc

O.C.

It can pay to shop around, you might save some money or pressurise your existing insurer into a better deal, the days of staying with your insurer through 'loyalty' are long gone

I have multi-bike with Aviva and they are quite pricey.
Considering going for 2 separate insurances for the 2 bikes as will be much cheaper.

Lloyd .... for the GTR that is a good deal .. my new GSA was only £168 (5000 miles a year) ..I thought that was amazing value  No aggravating circumstances garaged at night etc with a Sussex postcode. That was through Bennetts and not part of a multi bike policy .. just thought I,d say !

If you go for separate policies, one for each bike, check about the NCB. Most companies I know of will not allow your NCB to be on more than one policy. So get a quote for the most expensive using your NCB and a quote for the lesser machine with zero NCB. If in doubt call the insurance firm and ask. Most people don't find out about potential issues until they make a claim and that's when the slagging off and arguing starts. If in doubt DO NOT LISTEN TO THE EXPERT IN THE PUB. Call your insurance company.

Once you get over 50 then Ncd is almost worthless ,they just give you a quote on years you have ridden , ido my 3 bikes all on separate policy's as multi works out more exspensive , also if out happens on any of the bikes I am only claiming on that policy , I have heard that they can cancel the policy in the event of a claim ,
