Hi everyone. Purchased myself a lovely 2011 Dark Blue a few weeks ago. God I love this bike. Came to it from a BMW K1200LT which I thought would be hard to beat but this one, well I just can't stop smiling. Can't believe the power. Live just outside Windsor and currently trying to get my IAM done
I'd like your thoughts on something though please. Now she's got just short of 80,000 miles. If this was an 11 plate car we wouldn't be having this discussion.
She has full, and I mean full service history and every receipt from new. She is in mint condition. Previous owner put a soft gel Kawa seat on her and a higher touring screen. What do you all think about this mileage? I think the previous owner may have been involved in traffic marshalling etc or filming. There a set of flashy amber leds fitted under the mirrors. These have the look of a real professional job as well as having 3 or 4 GoPro mounts stuck to the bike!
She's a bit lumpy when rolling off the throttle or just keeping it ticking over when going through town. It's as if the gears to high running but changing down doesn't really change it if the refs are roughly the same. There is a Two Brothers can but I don't know if the filter has been changed for a K&N.
I've purchased a Power Commander V which I shall fit and put Dynojets map for the can I've got. I'd love the auto tune add on but can't afford it yet.
Is it worth doing the flies with having a PC V running a custom map as well?

O.C.

Try this first, it may help....sounds like the bike may have done some event marshalling, if the service record is good and complete then the bike should be fine....enjoy & welcome along

The throttle reset is worth it.
Also make sure that idle is around 1100rpm once warmed up.
Finally, check both ends on the battery earth (-ve) cable for a good contact.
Worth giving both ends a clean with a wire brush and then smear with dielectric grease and reattach.
Personally I put copper washers on mine to increase the contact of both ends.

Enjoy the mad POWER!  :punk:
