Well, after 14 months of GTR ownership I've ordered a H2 SX.

The GTR hasn't nor will be used for touring (the mrs doesn't fancy it now) so I'm off to Supercharged land.

If the SX had not come along, I would have gone back to the ZZR.

I'm not bothered about the criticism regarding the "touring" capabilities of the SX.

I will miss the shaft drive and the center stand on the GTR.

GT pack, Puig dark tint touring screen, Zumo 660, road Angel, Drift Ghost S HD cameras + remotes X 4, i phone 5s plus mount, Interphone 5 comms.

O.C.

well done and congratulations,   I hope you enjoy many miles and many smiles aboard your new bike

Maybe you can post some pictures when it arrives  ?

Awesome,Interested in your feedback on the new bike.Especially compared to the GTR and the ZZR.

Robbieben

I'd be interested in your thoughts on the H2 SX, I'm considering one as an addition not to replace my GTR but as a solo use bike when the wife doesn't come out.

As soon as I get my sweaty mits on it I'll post up some pics ( although always had trouble posting images) as well as some comparisons.

Hopefully sometime in April

Nice one  but if your going for the H2 SX  you may as well go for the SE model..  with the extras goodies  The SE also differs from the standard bike with features including cornering headlights, heated grips, taller screen, machined wheels, centre-stand and a two-way quick-shifter..  ok more dosh..  but in for a penny in for a pound... you will regret it  if you don't  you may be out one sunny day and stop for a brew and some bollock talk.. and some one will turn up with the SE model  :hammer: trust me.. I've been there  but I understand what's important to one rider isn't to another so what ever you decide SE OR SX good choice and good luck
getting on now...  but not as old as Rog or Geoff

really fancied the h2 sx, in fact I paid a deposit before I test rode one,  had a ride from my local kwack dealer ,  love the new green and black  colour scheme , sitting on the bike in the showroom thought it was comfortable and lower than my sx, out on the road noticed the weight increase  straight away, after half an hour my arse was aching , as were my wrists  , and the foot rests were a lot higher than I originally thought , although If I went ahead with the purchase I would have tried to fit the lowered pegs, but looking at it don't think it is as straight forward as fitting them to my zzr's or my present sx. the back brake may as well bot be there ,this is a bike that likes to be revved and when you do it has silky smooth exhilarating acceleration,  but at lower revs I found it was jerky, so unfortunately for me the h2 sx is not for me ,got back on my sx to ride home straight away mine was more comfortable and pulling away much smoother .dont get me wrong it is a cracking bike when you rev it, but when you do you are immediately  putting you license at risk!!! got my deposit back from orrel and explained why , wasn't a problem for them, so quite happy to stick with my sx ,

A good friend of mine has bought an H2 SX SE Performance from Orrell.

Keith.. what your suffering from riding the h2 sx is not low foot pegs or the position for aching wrists :nono: :nono: IT'S CALLED GETTING TO BLOODY OLD   try a more sit up bike like a R1200 GS LC or the RT1200 they are aching friendly for old buggers :mfr_lol: but dam good fun

Spoke to a chap that had just got his and seemed happy so far ,, but looking round his bike I thought it lacked the wow factor fo4 a 16 grand bike , the wheels had a very rough finish to them , had no presence about it unlike the gtr , but I bet you could get hooked on the power rush ,

probably a bit of that actually , one of the reasons I changed the zzr 1400 , but I do like the look of it , but like I said it is an engine that wants to be revved , I don't think it behaves any way as good as the zzr 1400 around town . but that is not what it is designed for , happy to stay with my sx for a while , I had a feeling I would end up with an sx, it has loads of poke , good weather protection has the panniers and really comfortable with the lowered pegs, a few of us  were down the bridge a couple of weeks ago it was heaving the busiest I have seen it, hope your door is behaving !!!!

Try a KTM SD GT
More torque than H2
More bhp than GTR
Only just over 200kgs wet
Sensible riding position
Pulls from nothing
Got all the bells and whistles
What's not to like ?

OK the looks can be challenging to some but once ridden 👌😎

I've bought the 2019 Super Duke GT, after trying various options, the H2 SX being one of them. The H2 SX really is a good bike but more sporting than touring and the low down fuelling is an issue as to keep things smooth you need the bike to be on boost and keep the revs up. The wife was not too keen as she suffered badly from wind blast as I was leant much further forward due to the riding position. After various test rides the SD GT won the day. We picked the bike up a week before our 2 week euro tour and we both found the bike comfortable to run a full tank of fuel (240 miles cruising) before stopping for a break. Riding it solo it can be ridden as quick as any sport bike so the bike suits my needs.
