Biker Bugs

Johnboss, Could you tell me how tall you are please? I'm 5 foot 8 and am wondering whether I might struggle with paddling the gtr around.

You're welcome to come and have a sit on mine, just outside Preston.

I'm same height - 5ft 8ins.  I was OK with the standard seat and 'un-lowered' on dead level ground, but as soon as there's a drop of either side, or a slight incline, then I'm goosed.  I've just fitted a lower seat ( thanks Biker Bugs) and a set of lowering dogbones from Lust Racing and can now virtualy flatfloot.  I'm over in Bolton if you want to check out what its like when lowered.

sorry John I'm replying to a month old thread, but do the lowering links affect the pitch of the bike when its on the sidestand.

I'm seriously considering having them fitted, just wondered how it affected the stability when its parked up (or did you have the side stand shortened too?)

Thanks

Craig.

Apologies,Craig - not been about for a while, so you may have the answer.
I've not noticed any difference really with the side stand, but hauling it onto the mainstand is a bit harder.  R&G (who I got the lowering kit from) recomend shortening the mainstand by about an inch (cut and weld). To be honest, I've not got round to this but appaently is quite a straighforward job for those with the nessecary kit and skills.
