I'm 5'8 and just bought a GTR1400

Riding isn't an issue, just stopping on an incline or paddling the bike backwards out of a parking bay both take a bit of concentration and determination.

I've order a Sargent low seat, which should turn up mid-November, which should help slightly.

Just wondered if anyone on here had gone down a more dramatic route and fitting a rear lowering kit to their bike? and if so any advice on where to get it done?  I've seen the kit from lust racing advertised, which recommends professional install (I wouldn't have attempted it myself anyway) plus some cut and shut work on the center stand. Just wondered if anyone had been down this route?

Thanks

Craig.

I have the Lust lowering kit fitted to my GTR.

I'm 5'9" and can now sit with both feet flat on the ground when stopped. No problems with centre or side stand, just have a piece of wood in top box to put under rear wheel when using the centre stand.

Was fitted by Orwells in Ipswich during a service. Kit was from ebay.

I'm in Colchester so happy for you to come and try it!!! :biker3:

Well done fellows shorties, at 5'6" and 30" inside leg I felt I am just a little bit too short for a GTR, but I do have a Gen2 zzr14 which has a baglux lowered gel seat and I wear Daytona M-Stars, brilliant books which I got from the bay of fleas.

Best wishes
