Hi guys I'm new to the forum car anyone let me know if it's possible to change the battery's on the TPS as I believe there on the way out as a cold day it takes about 5mile for them to register

BigAlan

If you have the original  erosions then yes it's actually easy to change, it's a cr2032 battery with solder tags on, if you have the later version then Kawasaki reckon you can't change them, we are all waiting for one of the later ones to go as I am sure somebody will be able to get in somehow.

Not sure how old your bike is or where you are but my '10 has been doing that for two winters. I wouldn't rush.

Me too.2009 model on original TPS batteries

GTRpilot

Registered 2011, kept getting battery low messages so changed both my tyre sensor's using the cr2032 batteries. I think the later model's have sealed unit's, Mr Kawasaki realising he was missing out on earning extra cash.
XJ600, VFR800, CBR1100, Varadero1000, CBR1100, STX1300, GTR1400 ?

My bike's in for a big service next week, I asked how much to change the TPI thingies at the same time - £236 !!!!! I picked myself up and left. I seem to remember a description somethwhere on the web of how to stop the annoying flashing warnign blocking out everything else on tehs cree-might have been teh American COncourse site-anyone got any ideas please? Only flashing on cold mornings for the last couple of years but there will come a time......
