Hi guys n gals
Before I throw in the towel with the GTR14 I'd like to try and sort the areas I'm having trouble with.
So I'm looking for a used / unwanted set of bar risers to try to get rid of the writs aches.

id also maybe like to look into Radiator refurb if anyone knows a top place
Cheers

I made my own from a block of 35mm aluminium from ebay!
Unbolt the three allen bolts securing handlebar, paper under draw a template, form it on the block and saw drill and grind file to your hearts content!
Longer bolts and a piece of 8mm rubber on top of the block to dampen, sorted!
If it's just a try and evaluate, why not make some out of hardwood?
Certainly would save a sh*tload of money if it doesn't help you!
Patience is something you admire in the driver behind you and scorn in the one ahead.

i am probably THE worlds worst person at DIY.  I'm not even allowed to paint my garage door!  When i mentioned to my wife i was going to paint it she asked how i would go about it.  ever the person not to spend a lot of time on this i said i would open the paint pot...  throw the contents at the door and then rush in and spread it about as fast as poss..  should have it done in 3 mins.!  i came home later that day and it had been done for me..  properly.

if i were to make something i would end up with the GTR in a tree or something.

That's great and you make it sound easy, but I reckon you have more skill than you say.

There was a guy in the Triples club who was clearly an extremely talented fabricator, he used MDF for all his patterns as he reckoned it was easy and accurate stuff to work with

Sure there's some Scottish influence in me gene pool somewhere!  :whistling:
Paying 100 + for a part that may or may not work just seems daft to me!
And my once "telecom engineer" career that kept me like a racing snake is now sat at a PC for 12 hour shifts, with a body going to waist(! :undecided:)I am soooo glad to get a reason to get out and fettle! Real world stuff! :hammer:
