Stupid little job that made such a difference!
Since fitting Charlies' gear lever bearing mod, never got back to adjusting the gear lever properly.
Always felt long way to first, all the rest were "OK", just not as good as pre-mod.
So, equipped with 10mm spanner, adjusted gear linkage, reckon on lever / toe height is now 10mm up, transformed the ride!
Probably mostly in the head, but 2 minute job of adjusting resulted in engaging 1st is so much easier, changes are quicker and smoother, happy bunny all round!
Patience is something you admire in the driver behind you and scorn in the one ahead.

Also don't forget to replace the rubber if it has a worn flat bottom edge.

Did mine, much better feel etc.
