Will be coming over on a 13 day tour with a group from our AAA tours.  Once I get final details I'll let you know where we're going to be staying along the route.  Hopefully we can meet up at some point.

any chance that you will be visiting Northern Ireland  Jim   ?

I don't think that's on the itinerary, unfortunately.  I believe it's all England.  I'd love to go there, though.  I'll post everything soon.

Jim, when you say England, might that include Scotland?

virginiajim

My friend, I unlike many over here (US), understand what England means.  It's all England.  Whilst we would have liked to tour Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland I had to make a tough decision on where we wanted to go.  I needed to include Oxford and the only tour that did that was all England.  We'll arrive in London and depart from Manchester.  Many tears will flow and much beer will be consumed.  I haven't been back since the fall of 1968.

Jim, it would be excellent to have more detail regarding your tour nearer the time, then maybe, just maybe, our paths could cross

Well the trip obviously was cancelled due to virus concerns.  We even got passports (which was an effort for me).  Not sure when we will be able to come over again.  Probably will be 2022 or late 2021...just don't know.  Not going to do it through a tour agency again.  We got royally hosed by them when we cancelled.  Pandemics was not of the official reason to cancel list.  I want to get back and may just tour around Oxfordshire and East Anglia.  Sigh..

If you make it to East Anglia Jim, I'd be happy to meet up with you and take you to a few places - perhaps Duxford Air Museum might be on your list, or Old Warden, which leans more toward early types (WW1 onward).

If you need a rental bike, a past customer of mine hires a fleet of Gold Wings and similar out of London and we are still on very good terms, although I've now retired. They might offer a deal?
