Just had my renewal through, did a bit of surfing and it comes in at £77 fully comp with full no claims.

Really happy with that, but if i try to add my 500cc scooter and 25yr old Zephyr they want over £800, managed to get it down to £380, still ridiculous as the GTR is only £77

£77 is very good.
Who's that through and are there any restrictions in mileage?
And surely the Zephyr is more than 25years old?

I think he has a Kawasaki Zephyr (from the 1990s) rather than a Ford Zephyr (from the 1960s/70s?)

The basis of my policy is a "classic" insurance for my '83 Z1300 with the other three bikes as add ons.

I'm anticipating a renewal of £400-£500 in August but I am sort of trapped in it as the classic policy does not attract a no-claims discount so when I try and shop around elsewhere and mention that I don't have an NCD insurers keep shouting four-figure sums at me.

£77 does seem very good value, would you be better ff getting separate policies to cover the others?

I pay £80 for the gtr , £73 for my ktm 990 , and £140 for the ktm 1050 , I have 3 policy's as they wanted far to much do put them alone one , plus I am now building up no claims on the other policy's , but even if I had 9 years for the other two bikes I doubt whether it would be any cheaper ,  :biker3:

May i ask where you get your quotes from and how old you are?
I have bought a 1400gtr so I can open the throttle and spin the world

I think NCD can only be applied from one policy. ..but could be wrong

I am 55 with a yo8 postcode, have full ncd on the gtr and 2 years on 990 and 1 on the 1050 , once you reach over 50 ncd does not seem to make any difference,  when my son went to live in Salford ,Manchester his insurance went up loads ,we have always been in a low insurance area ,,,

Also 55 with full no claims living in a low risk area. You can only use your NCD once so 2nd and 3rd policies are at full price but like a previous poster did i have started to build up NCD on a second policy which will be cheaper that multibike.

Managed to get the Kawasaki Zephyr (1992) insured for £77 even with no NCD, yay !!!! (And will start to build NCD on that policy).

All policies ask for mileage expected, so although not restricted mileage if you mislead the insurance companies to get a cheaper (less usage?) you are liable to increased premiums if found out, and once found out you are found out forever !!!
