  If you can induce that to order there is something inherently wrong with the bike !!! Wheel bearings and or tyres ? Sounds fun in a strange sort of way

When I was a nipper I'd ride my pushbike with no hands....that was until the day I went over the handle bars.  In the last 50 years of motorbikes I can't ever remember taking both hands off,  nor do I want to start now.

I'm +1 with the other guys about the tyre, as you said it's barely legal.....I'd change it before it sends you down the black stuff..
