Hi guys
Just wondered if anybody puts some form of paint protection on their bikes? I.e. The 3M sticky transparent tape, On the panniers where the pillion gets on and off or wherever you see fit
I've had some but think it's cheap Chinese stuff so looking for decent quality if anybody can send me a link or point me in the right direction
Thanks, back to the BBQ now😀🍻🍺

Last week I added this Techspec snake skin.....http://techspec-usa.com/motorcycles/pannier-cover/kawasaki-councours-14-2007-current-pannier-covers.html

Because of the same problem with my girl getting on/off and catching the tops of the panniers...It's not cheap, but I think it was worth the money to protect the tops.

Be aware that applying these plastic pieces can be finicky at best.  Unless you have extreme patience or experience in this you may want to farm it out.  The cases weren't bad to do but the curvier the plastic, the worse it is to apply.

What I do on a trip is put gaffer tape over top of case. Then after trip take tape off. Don't look good but does the job. Only ride with panniers on a trip.

Finicky??? The Kawasaki pannier protection was an absolute bas***d to fit. However with a bath full of warm soapy water and an understanding wife to help we did  it. Fit the covers that is.

I was being kind.  I tried to fit them on the front fairing and fender for over a day and then finally threw them away in a fit of anger.  I learned my lesson with that.

Of course if Kawasaki designed them with out the shiny surface would not be a prob. Looks good to begin with but eventually after use.....

Same here with the pannier protection kit, and I did follow all the instructions, sadly there weren't any specific instructions on how to screw them up and deposit in  bin, so I made up my own   :mfr_lol:

Oh look, there's a squirrel!  Time for a drink!  Or the ever popular, I made it to the evening.  Time for a drink.  In fact, it's time now.
