Germany Trying to Replicate.....................

Still not getting close!    😎
Patience is something you admire in the driver behind you and scorn in the one ahead.

Its a historical thing...
Over the ocean "the Concours name reflected Kawasaki's vision of sport-touring with the ZG1000 or concours 1000 a motorcycle produced with little upgrades from 1985 to 2006 and which paved the road for the 1400cc model after 2006  very well apparently.
The model name of "Concours" is derived from a gathering of prestigious vehicles in a contest of elegance, such as the French Concours d'Elegance"

Strange enough, in Europe the names GT (italian Gran Turismo) was common language for mostly german quality cars but extended to other european makes later and Some more sportive versions got extensions -R what stands for 'racing' ... So Gt-R ...
So Kawa decided to use that 'common abbr.' Standing for quality and sportive qualities for marketing reasons... In europe

so why Concours ion the other side of the pond?
