I'm interested to hear how you get on with a flash on the later model GTR, I made enquiries a while ago and the specialists hadn't flashed a late model GTR which has a different ECU

Was that before or after the remains of the badger, rabbit and fox was taken out?

I have SiSF's Decel Map in mine with a Remus Hexacone silencer.
Very smooth throttle and gobs more torque right where ya need it.
Air filter change make no difference to power or smoothness.
Ya have to disconnect the Lambda sensors for SiSF's flashes but CATs are still there.

I have it booked in with JW Motorcycles in Malton.

He did a lot of work on  my Hayabusa Big bore and nitros.

On a de cat before I have found that the bike is more responsive, it was best described to me as the bike trying to breath with a mouth full of marshmallows with the cats in.

I agree that the filter will make very little difference, but the present GTR has 2 sets of cats, they need to go along with a ECU flash.

What is it that you will be achieving by making these changes?
Top speed or better acceleration?
I can't quite understand why it needs to be any different.

I am curious as to how you are going to do that as the cats are an integral part of the exhaust manifold.

Boomer

Yup, gonna have to replace the headers to ditch the CATs.
Some have fitted ZZR1400 headers but then ya need 2 silencers and brackets for the left side, and also need to modify the centrestand.
