Hi new to this bike what is the best oil to run in it.

doebag

If you mean what spec. then Kawasaki specify SAE10W-40, API SG or higher with JASO MA,MA1 or MA2.

If you mean what make/brand, then I would say the best you can afford.

I always use a semi synthetic quality oil, Silkolene is my choice and always has been, I change the oil, oil filter, air filter and diff oil every four thousand miles because I like my bike to have a treat.

It does not take long and you can have a coffee while the old stuff is draining out, I also have a sump plug with the magnet on the inside so I can check if there is every any swarf present, touch wood none to date.
Ducati owner now but I used to have a Black one, the fastest version.
Previous, Sprint ST (2), VFR 800, Fireblade's (4) SP1, VTR1000, GPZ900, CB250, BSA Bantam D14/4, Suzuki TS100, SX200.

No the hip is stainless steel, not magnetic.

And when I pop my clogs I hope the wife recovers it for scrap.
