So the triumph trophy do we have any opinions at all. I actually like it as it happens and im amazed wmb didnt pipe up because it is very alike the 1200 rt me thinks.
I know triumph have been improving over the years and their triple engine seems to be reliable so it would be a contender if i did decide to downgrade from my gtr lol.
Baby blade ,rt1100,CB1300 and the best yet gtr1400 😁😁😁👌
It's all in the wrist you know 😏😏👀

I would consider it. Before buying my second gtr I tried to test ride one but nobody seemed to have a demo.

It doesn't look as sleek and pretty and as venomous as our GTR.
But nevertheless if you are looking at downgrading it's worth a look.

O.C.

Personally I think its a very good looking bike, it has a smaller engine and less power but weighs less than the GTR. I agree that it doesn't possess the aggressive stance of the GTR, but what other comparable bike does ?

I have never ridden one but it has very good specification, (I did own a Tiger 1050 in 2007 and it had a great engine with loverly induction noise.)

What I DO like very much is Triumphs website which allows configuration of bikes and it's very navigable , TBH it makes Kawasakis site look a bit sick IMHO

I have a 16 plate Trophy in my garage at the moment [Bloodbike]
Personally I think it is a bit top heavy compared to the GTR, riding position is more upright and it feels a bit bland compared to the GTR, but it pulls like a train, the screen is so much more better than the GTR [ I can ride visor up if I want to, and no earplugs if I wanted to] plus it has decent under seat storage.

What he said. I also found the suspension quite solid and the brakes didn't have much feel. However, a GTR does spoil you.

There's a new SE in the local Triumph dealer at £13,500. It seems like a lot of bike for the money, however they have not managed to move it in many months. They also have a couple of used Trophy's, again in stock for a long time. Perhaps a good buy if you want to hold onto it for a good while, maybe less so if you decide to resell fairly quickly?

The trophy does seem a bit bland compared to other bikes ,such is The choice out there at the moment , when triumph sold off the sprint with full luggage for £8999 ,there did seem to be a lot of them about on the road , mabe a £2000 price drop they will go the same way , the gtr does have a presence about it and a touch of class. ,  :biker3:

Haveing just got rid of a Triumph Triple I would say if you want to be bored ..get one ...
If you want loads of electrical probs get a Triumph .http://www.triumph-trophy.com/index.php ..
If you want a bike that is reportedly being DROPPED from production ..get a Triumph Trophy
If you love your engine to rattle like a bag of false teeth
Get a Triumph Triple
If you want STILL air and peace and quite sanitised experience ... get a Trophy .
Apparently
If you like washing your bike and it refusing to start and lekkys to fail ...Buy a Trophy
Yes it's a good looking bike .. not as pokey as the GTR but the torque curve is sooo flat you will snooze ...A LOT .
Close up inspection there is a HUGE air gap between front of engine and front of fairing .looks kinda Chinese design .
It's the same frame as the Triumph Exploder ..nowt wrong there ...but it is generic across several genres.
It has some serious re occurring electrical probs and the fuel map is shite.
Also you can't use Tune.Ecu program to tweak it or change any parameters .
It isn't a bad bike .. it just ain't a good un. .. does it stir your soul ???  Well it didn't do it for me ..and I NEARLY bought a new one .. until I got on owners forums here and the states .
If it ain't a Jap  .. how long before it breaks down ...
OH and it has WMB like diff failures
Mack .. make ya own mind up ..but do world wide forums research mate
Hope this helps you 😊

Aye it was a biggie Mack but it was the result of months of listening reading and talking to owners .
On paper it's a brill bike ..but seriously flawed in the electronics and possible engine life
