To be honest 2kwaks your gonna spend a fortune on an akrapovic badge cos thats pretty much all the difference from your stock exhaust. Theyll even look very similar and your stock ones designed for the bike including its running efficiency.
Bike looks well by the way. I do like the gs. I bet the water cooling helps out eh? 👍👍
The water cool boxer engine is a massive improvement over the air cooled boxer engine.. in fact the whole bike is improved in every way  I ride the air cooled boxer rt1200 at work and when we got a new model rt1200 water cooled on demo I took it for a spin and noticed a big difference over the air cooled model.. smoother/faster/better position of the switch gear/clock layout/cruise control and everthing eles have not mentioned  and due to the new counter balance shaft design the new water cooled boxer engine runs a lot smoother and doesn't sway.. or shake ya teeth loose when idling or revving at standstill.. only time will tell if I will miss the big kawasaki engines.. but up to now I happy with the choice  plus it as defo slowed me down which was one of the main reasons for a change of bike. but although the b.h.p is down 90 b.h.p over the zzr it still as 125 b.h.p so you can still end up in jail but it's type of bike that slows you down because you don't feel as if you want let rip all the time.. the zzr1400 is so intoxicating you just want more and more.. plus you don't need to buy a rear tyre every other month
getting on now...  but not as old as Rog or Geoff

Lol ye tyres are expensive for sure i just put two pr4's on mine. I know what you mean about the boxer as i had an r1100rt and it was shaky but loved it anyway. Has the tractor gearbox been improved at all or is it still like puttin a battle ship in gear lol
Baby blade ,rt1100,CB1300 and the best yet gtr1400 😁😁😁👌
It's all in the wrist you know 😏😏👀

 the gearbox is improved as is the complete bike.. but mine is with fitted the b.m.w  pro gear assist which is excellent for fast up and down clutchless gear changes..

As long as it is not like a Harley gear box. Ugh.

all gear boxes clunk in first gear all my zzr's clunk good style..suppose the b.m.w r1200 is no exception it not as smooth going from 1st to 2nd when using the pro shift  as it is in 3rd 4th 5th or 6th same with coming down the box. but I find the gear box to be fine and smooth.. in fact there are 2 things on the GS that I never had on a bike before and now wonder how the hell I managed with out them  the pro gear shift is excellent it even blips the throttle on down shifts.. the other is the cruise control.. not the normal twistie button on the handle bar grip  which is useless.. this cruise control works the same as in the b.m.w car.. switch it on.. resume/slow down/speed up. using the brakes/clutch or simple turning it off cancels the cruise control.

I'm not taking the piss out of the old style cruise control  it work  but was not perfect by any means.. it is fitted on my works bikes on the older rt1200 air cooled and I chose not to use it.. it did give me a few :shit:ty moments  but b.m.w have now "BOXED" off "no pun intended"  cruise control on bikes. on my zzr 1400's and the gtr 1400 I used to use one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Motor-Motorbike-Throttle-Assist-Rest-Cruise-Control-Grips-For-Harley-Black-ABS-/251726725777?hash=item3a9c150291:g:eJwAAOSwaNBUbuje but that was more for being able to stretch your fingers out and take the weight of your wrist  it work.. but a few times  when moving off or turning around tight places my wrist could catch which allow more revs :sweatdrop: which is a big  :nono:  on the zzr or the gtr. so binned that for safety reasons and self preservation.

P.S my thoughts on the GTR is.. kawasaki will not be with out a big tourer in such a competitive market such as touring  the present GTR may not meet the new euro emissions but the zzr1441 dose  so my bet is kawasaki will use the 1441 engine most likely will detune it and alter the gearing. also to keep up with technology kawasaki most likely will offer factory fit option which will be  similar to the cruise control b.m.w which will would most likely add £300 to the list price and let buyers decided if they want cruise control or not.. it would also be a good idea " not for the dealers thou" to fit tyre sensors so the battery which only cost £2.00.. can be changed every time a new tyre is fitted. that way you pay £2.00 never have battery low warning and not face a £300 bill to replace the sensor and code to the e.c.u.
