Well i finally got tired of not hearing myself think cos of my aftermarket noisy can. A pal of mine had his original potato gun on ebay n not able to sell it so i grabbed it off him and put it on tday. Oh the quiet bliss. More importantly is the fact that it runs so much more smoothly and throttle control is noticeably improved. On the downside its not as quick but you know what,im old😒 So my racing days are over anyway. Cant believe how smooth it is now and best of all i can hear my music now 😃😃👍

I have the Beauwolf (sp) and would never put the spud gun back on, well I would when and if I sell the bike but that's all.

To quiet.

The first thing I did on my 2010 GTR 1400 was to change the butt ugly spud launcher... not because of the sound :nono: same with the zzr1400 2 big sod off black exhausts that are nearly as big as the bike :hammer: what was kawasaki thinking of when designing theses exhausts.. they make great bikes then fit butt ugly exhausts.. if a o.e.m exhaust looks ok then don't see the reason to change it
getting on now...  but not as old as Rog or Geoff

PRD

Love the original exhaust would never change it. It is designed for bike so will not muck up any settings.

Kawasaki approved Akrapovic on mine, looks great sounds beautiful (not loud, just mellow) and lighter than OEM,   ticks all my boxes

OEM pipe carefully wrapped and stored in garage loft
BE KIND...

Only thing wrong with the stocker is that it's quite ugly..  Oh, two things wrong...it's quite heavy as well.  Other than that it's the cat's pajamas.

Agreed Akrapovic is the way to go  had them on my zzr1400's look great and sound great.. bloody expensive thou but if you want the best then you pay. I'm  :undecided: on changing the o.e.m chrome exhaust on my b.m.w r1200 GS TE LC it's not over sized for the bike and it makes a decent sound would not say it was to quite either. Akrapovic b.m.w use is the HP Akrapovic which is the same size in Lenght and width also little difference in sound also the weight saving is only 0.5 kg..   so will chew on that a bit longer  but if I do decide to change the exhaust it will only be for a Akrapovic
However.. would like your opinion on the o.e.m exhaust on the GS before I spend my hard earned cash.
